The Revelation Of God's Prophetic Time Clock Analysis
(iii) The Revelation of God’s Prophetic Time Clock for the Nation of Israel

After explaining the reason why seventy units of sevens are determined upon Israel, the angel Gabriel informed Prophet Daniel that the seventieth prophetic week (490 years) would be made up of three distinct divisions:

The first unit of sevens (49 years) is the period of time for the rebuilding of the city of Jerusalem. The angel Gabriel explained that “... the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times” (verse 25).

The Jews confirmed this prophecy in John 2:20 that it took forty nine years to build Jerusalem. Actually it took forty six years to build the temple and another additional three years to build the walls, making a total of forty

“And after threescore and two weeks shall the Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary” ;...”( verse 26)

The Messiah was cut off by being rejected and killed by Israel. God then judged Israel by sending the Roman Governor Titus in 70 A.D who marched his army into Jerusalem and brought it into utter destruction and desolation. The most terrifying massacres of history occurred. The temple – exactly as the Lord Jesus had warned – was torn down, stone by stone, until no sign of it remained.

Over 600 thousand Jews were killed. History tells us that Jerusalem was famine stricken to the point that she ate her children in an effort to survive and hundreds of thousands of Jews were sold as slaves to whoever would buy them.

This was indeed a fulfilment of Jesus’ prophetic Word. Interestingly, in all this bloodbath, not one Christian of the early Church’s life was lost because they had remembered and acted on the Lord’s

Then let them which are in them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there into. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are in the midst of it depart out; and let them that are in the countries enter there into.” (Luke 21:20-22)

NEVERTHELESS THE JEWS WERE UNDER GOD’S JUDGMENT FOR REJECTING THE MESSIAH BORN TO THEM. Be that as it may however, let us beware that,

The fuller meaning of Jesus’ words as quoted above have to do with the Great Tribulation period yet to be fulfilled, but it had a preliminary fulfilment in 70 A.D when Titus ravaged, burned and sacked Jerusalem!

NOW, PLACING THESE TWO EVENTS [the death of the Messiah and the destruction of Jerusalem] AFTER SIXTY NINE WEEKS BUT BEFORE THE SEVENTIENTH WEEK ALLOWS FOR BUT DOES NOT REQUIRE A GAP!

The conflict between Jesus and the Jewish leaders was part of God’s plan that led to Jesus’ transfiguration on the mountain and ultimately his crucifixion. The ever increasing buildup to the day of crucifixion garnered the attention that God wanted for the salvation that his son would give as a gift to the world. The Kingdom is available to all who accept Him as their savior and have faith in Him.…

If this prophecy was proven true, then the base of Christianity is legitimate. No other religion has great predictions like this that have come true. The article states a point that is truly prodigious: “Remember: This is describing crucifixion in detail 500 years before it would be invented, 900 years before the Romans began using it and 1000 years before Jesus would be crucified.”. These facts prove Christianity’s truthfulness more so than many other bible passages. Psalm 22 is an excellent tool to use when demonstrating the truth to an atheist or person of a different religion.…

The significance of the modern day Jerusalem as a religious capital cannot be established without the sacred sites of different religions in the city, including the Western Wall of the ancient Jewish Temple and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher of the Christians. After the complete destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 CE by the Roman forces, Jerusalem was stripped of its spiritual axis and left desolated with the Jews banned from the city. Consequently, when the Church of the Holy Sepulcher was built on the Western Hill, the city of Jerusalem was invigorated with a new religious passion, but the rivalry between Judaism and Christianity was also intensified. Despite of the fact that these two establishments were centers of two different religions,…

Although this did happen, it was not in the way they expected. They believed that someone, the Messiah (“the Hebrew word ‘Messiah’ means an anointed person or thing” ), would come and be their king and take them away from Roman rule and, as a result, bring Israel together. One of the many verses that the Jewish were basing their expectations of the messiah on was, “your house and your kingdom shall be made sure for ever before me; your throne shall be established for ever.” (2 Samuel 7:16). This can give the impression that a king would be sent from God who was like David: a king that would lead them, that they could follow, and enter the kingdom of God. They waited for the “Kingdom of God as employed by Jesus signified God’s victory over the…
