So the cons would be a disadvantage for it. A con for having gun control is that it would not prevent criminals from obtaining guns and or breaking the law. According to the article Gun-control.procon, John R. Lott, Jr. states "The problem with such [gun control] laws is that they take away guns from law-abiding citizens, while would-be criminals ignore them." This statement means that law enforcements take away guns from people/citizens that a registered to have a gun but i guess they let the criminals keep their firearms so they can commit crimes, maybe the law enforcements don’t know that they are criminals. From the same, same passage they talk about Chicago and there problems. It states “Despite Chicago's ban on gun shops, shooting ranges, assault weapons, and high capacity magazines, in 2014 Chicago had 2,089 shooting victims including at least 390 murders. Approximately 50,000 guns were recovered by police in Chicago between 2001 and Mar. 2012.
