Pricing the service and product for a new organization will have an affect of the future of the business. When releasing prices to the public, consumers will compare it to competitors and will either help the organization or make a poor impression on potential consumers. Pricing is one of the most difficult decisions a company can make but also the most important (Scarborough, 2014). In the industry of ice cream delivery, there are no direct competitors to compare pricing. The next available source of pricing would be ice cream stores in the local area and grocery stores. We will establish ourselves as the only all natural-milk based ice cream product in Russia that is targeting the traditional market. By putting our product in a 1950’s style packaging we will trigger emotions in our consumers of happier times when the economy was good. Our overall budget will still remain less then our competitors at $500,000 since we heavily rely on word of mouth, which has contributed to our success up to now. Our strategy will still target both the traditional and low-cost market by advertising on public television and in lower end stores and social…

The slogan for Marble Slab Creamery is “The freshest ice cream on earth™”. Their high set of standards aims to bring the exquisite taste of fresh-made gourmet ice cream. Although Marble Slab creamery focuses on “freshness” as their main USP, we feel that it is not unique enough as many ice cream brands also offer freshly made ice cream. Moreover, through our survey, we found out that most consumers value novelty and uniqueness in ice-cream brands rather than the freshness (refer to Appendix B). Hence, what truly differentiates Marble Slab Creamery from other ice cream brands is its variety of 40 mix-ins, such as candy and fresh fruit, which they offer with their ice cream.…

In 2000, ice cream consumption declined 3.5 % from the previous year; in contrast, its substitutes such as beer, soft drink and confectionery products experienced strong market demand growth indicating a…

The ice cream market is attractive due to its 15% to 20% profit margin and low initial capital investment. Ingredients are acquired at low cost because of their commodity nature. Also, the final product and production process are similar among producers. Products may be easily copied making differentiation difficult to obtain. It is easy to get through customers and retailers as numerous distribution channels available.…

The market is segmented into 4 Categories; Take-home ice cream, Impulse ice cream, Artisanal ice cream and Frozen yogurt. Take-home ice cream accounts for 67.2% of the markets total value and is the largest segment. Artisanal ice cream (our market segment) is 10.5% which is a value of $207.7 million. When it comes to market share David Chapman’s Ice cream Ltd is the leading player as it generates 24% of the markets value followed by Nestle S.A which accounts 23.6% of the market share. It will not be a surprise to us that the market is concentrated with the top three players holding 65.6% of the total market value which include both international and local players. It is possible to enter this market on a small-scale but it is better on a larger scale. This is because the presence of strong brands and the scale of economies associated required for…

My research findings showed that consumers rank P&P low when it comes to variety and that P&P’s newly (about a year old) launched premium ice cream line “Nostalgia” suffers from a lack of brand recognition, as well as, an inadequate pricing policy; i.e. it is priced too low for a premium ice cream line and this has an effect on (i) perceived quality and (ii) the right return one would expect from a premium product.…
