The Outsiders Examples Of Ponyboy Being Selfless
After everything Ponyboy has been through why does he still find a way to be caring? Ponyboy, main character in “the outsiders” written by S.E hinton is a caring person because being a caring person comes with being selfless, brave, and a great listener, and Ponyboy is all that and more.

Being selfless is putting other people before yourself, doing something for another person when you can be something for yourself. Ponyboy is that. One example is when Johnny killed bob instead of Johnny leaving on his own Ponyboy went with him. He traded being warm and eating every night to be with Johnny.

Being brave is not being afraid of doing something, like standing up to someone who was being bullied or risking your life for someone. For example when

    Noboday should ever holler at my brother. I exploded. “You dont yell at him!” I shouted. Darry wheeled around and slapped me so hard that it knocked me against the door.” Throughout the book Ponyboy talks about how much Darry hates him, and how he likes Sodapop better.
