The New House Journal Entry
Journal Entry#2
It was finally the next day. I was thinking about our plan all night yesterday. I started to doubt that the plan would even work but I kept my hopes high. I came out of my cabin and I knew that I and Billy would escape this night. I was approached by the guards and they told me to pick up cotton near Bobs castle. As I was picking up the cotton I thought to myself that I would now escape and I would never have to do this ever again. I was finally finished picking up all the cotton and now it was night. The guards told us all to go back to the cabins and go to sleep. My family and I were in the cabin waiting patiently till the guards go away. After 30 minutes the guards go to sleep and the new guards come but they take about 10

They tasted amazing I remember on day while picking cotton I came across an apple and I ate and it tasted amazing. I thanked Cody for everything, he then took us to a quiet place where Billy Khizar and I talked about what we would do next. We sat down and Khizar said we would need to go to the next station where we would meet yet another station master. He also told me that when I would get to heaven I would meet a stock holder who would donate me some money and supply me with some food until I got on my feet. He also told me that I would not be using the the gospel train. I asked him why and he said because I am in South Carolina and I would need to get to New Him shire and then from there we would need to get into a baggage, box, parcel, or Package then we would be shipped to the promised land. It was now night and we went over the plan again, I now memorized the plan and I was ready. It was finally the night and Billy needed to sleep. Cody guided us towards a quiet room where we all could sleep. I asked who would keep watch, Cody said he would. We all went to sleep and in the middle of the night Billy and I were woken up by Khizar. I asked him what it was. He told us that Cody was going to sell us out. That is nonsense, He told me to put my ear on

In a few years from now, I would really like to open up some sort of cafe, specifically a boba shop. I would like for it to be located in California, specifically Southern California so it can compete with other boba shops. The menu would be filled with a variety of milk teas, flavored teas, and lattes that can be paired with various toppings such as boba, grass jelly, egg pudding, different popping boba flavors, and an array of different fruit jellies. I would also like to serve small desserts on the side, such as macarons, mille crepe cakes, and brick toast. As for the cafe itself, I would like for it to have a cozy yet minimalistic vibe from the decor. In other terms, white…

The soldier kick out the platform and I was died. Then I broke the rope from the bridge and I fall into the water. I had an internal conflict with myself. By the fear of dying I remember what is most important to me. I started to swam away and escape. The troops shoot at me but they miss. I think that I went home and saw my beautiful wife and my kids, but really I wasn’t at home. In my situation, the soldier did fair because all people have to understand law. At the end of my story whole escape thing never happens. This was all my imagination while I was hanging from the noose. At the last moments of my life I just imagine this escape. Even once when I had a noose around my neck I thought that can control live and die. I died at the end, by hanging off the Owl Creek…

I awoke today with the light streaming into my room and hearing the birds chirping in the distance. As I regained my conscience, I smelled the mold and felt damp room conditions all around me that imprisoned me. It reminded me of what would have happened only in a nightmare. It was only yesterday that Corey, Nurse, Hale and I had gone to help the accused women. So many times I felt that I could win the battle, yet just as many times I could feel the rope slipping through my fingers.…

Description: Television comedy shows play a good role in our society. Earlier in 1950s to 1990s many great shows came out such as Father Knows Best and The Crosby Show. This journal will be based on one episode from each of those two shows. Both episodes represent families living together. Father is the main character in both shows. Husbands and wives relationships are very good and loving. Father knows best episode shows the value of money such as when dad buys scooter for his for $50 and sells it for $40 but at the end his son buys the same scooter for $30. Both of the episodes held inside the house. There was only one scene in The Crosby show episode which occurred in the backyard when the little girl gets angry with everybody and hides herself in the carton.…

The short story, “The Things They Carried”, by Tim O’brien, was my favorite reading of this week. The author states what the company is carrying, as well as emotional burdens that they carry. I think that theme of this story can be summarized as “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. As I stated in the discussion, I think this story makes a profound point about trauma and emotional stress. Physical burdens are easily observable. For example, when people see someone in a wheelchair their thoughts are most likely automatically sympathetic. However, when people see someone having a panic attack they might just assume that the person is overreacting. Nobody knows what emotional burdens someone holds. Therefore, it is wrong to judge people on appearance alone and assume that one knows the full story.…

I have witnessed the stages of conflict in my relationships on a daily basis, especially when it comes to my sixteen year old daughter and her attitude, we often disagree. Our greatest challenge that we deal with the most is trying to manage her diabetes in public. Lately she has gained this attitude of she knows what is best for her. She wants to be independent and thinks that she does not need my guidance or opinion. Often times, this cause a power struggle between the child and the parent. In reality, she does not see a problem with her managing it alone. In the past, allowing her to self-manage her diabetes caused an increase in her A1-C. We resolved the problem by coming to a verbal agreement. I came up with a plan that would allow me to be trusting and for her to feel independent. The idea is for her to check her blood sugar levels with her testing kit and every Thursday we will get together and review the numbers. She had to agree with sitting down and discussing any changes that needs to be made without conflict. We both have agreed to meet one another half way and work together to ensure her health as a team.…

I dreamt of the rain. The same rain that filled my entire childhood. The same cold rain that showered down on the alleyways that I hid in, sloughing the grime off the walls and into whatever small crevice I would have been hiding in. I dreamt of the same drops of rain that poured like stones, the same stones that were thrown at the many beggars, like myself, living in the winding narrow streets of Aquillum. I found myself walking down the same paths I used to walk and beg in, the same narrow winding passageways I used to evade any furious shopkeepers who would desperately search for the sewer child who stole their wares.…

In the passage “The Men We Carry in Our Minds,” by Scott Russel Sanders he discusses his view on men and women. The quote above has a meaning that goes deeper than gender roles, but in this particular passage the meaning is that the way one perceives women and men is all about their experiences with women and men in their throughout their lives. The authors perception on men is different than those of the women in his class because the women in his class have fathers who hold more prestigious jobs, such as doctors and lawyers, and his father worked his way up to a job where he didn’t have to get his hands dirty. The father’s hardwork paid off when he had his higher, less demanding position, but his body gave out on him completely before he reached the age of sixty-five, as written in the passage.…
