The Lord Of The Flies By William Golding: A Leadership Analysis
Dictionary.com defines leadership as “The position or function as a leader, the person who guides or directs a group”. In the novel the Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, a group of English boys’ plane crashes on a deserted island. Once their surroundings have been assessed, there is an open role as to who should be the chief, or leader, of this group of boys. Ralph is easily the one best fit for this position of power on the island. He is the most logical thinker, knows there has to be rules and boundaries, and is the most intelligent and civilized boy on the island. His list of priorities make him a great chief.
