THE FIRST AEROPLANE

Orville and Wilber wright the inverters of the aeroplane were brothers Wilbur the eldest was born on April 16, 1867 and died on May 30, 1912 the youngest Orville was born about 4 years later on August 19, 1871 and died on January 30, 1948.
They conducted the first official powered flight in 1903 on December 17. The plane was made of wooded beams with canvas stretched over them. The plane had two vertical wings with propellers behind them that pushed the plane through the sky. The pilot would sit on the wing and pull on ropes and pullies to steer the plane.

The world needed this invention so people could travel longer distances at higher speeds without the interruptions of traffic, rough roads or obstacles, there was an open sky. The evolution of this invention eventually enabled people to travel over the sea.
The first flight was conducted on December 17 year 1903 at kitty hawk on the west coast of America.
This invention brought a change in the way people travelled.

    Wilbur Wright was born the middle child of five. His father, Milton, was a bishop in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. His mother was Susan Catherine Koerner. Younger brother and playmate, Orville Wright was four years younger than Wilbur. Wilber and Orville grew up sharing a love for aeronautics and flying.
