American Public University System The Overview of The FBCB2 FBCB2 is a system of computer hardware and software that forms a wireless, tactical Internet for on-the-move, near-real-time situational awareness and command and control on the battlefield (northrop gunmman). FBCB2 provides military personnel with the knowledge of self-motivation during war time situation to enhance the military operation from a critical tactic levels. I will bring you an overview of the Server-Side Hardware, Server-Side Software, Client-Side Hardware and Client-Side Software. Each of these components has they’re on major function with this system and without them the information system wouldn’t function properly

Since the FBCB2 is very big for training and real-world situation it’s software and version are very important. The server for this system is configured to run Windows servers products from Windows 2003 to 2013. The software user will be unable to determine which machine the software is on. The downfall to this configuration is if the system was to crash or fails it will only detect the resident of the client until all repairs are up and functional. The new software, known as Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) gives the FBCB2 the platform for the Army and U.S. Marine. “The older version Blue Force Tracker (BFT) was slow when it came to pulling up friendly force position” (northropgrumman2018). The company’s is known to operate through many business sectors: Aerospace System (aircraft, spacecraft, laser systems. electronic subsystems); Mission System (radar, sensors, chemical detection, countermeasure systems); and Technology Services (systems support, training and simulation (hoover.com) The success of the company relies solely on it’s ability expand and vend its product and good will as the opportunity to provide the customers the technologies, provision, equipment and financial and magnitude. Northrop Grumman must always manage reliable source for raw materials, fabricated parts and electronic components, and considerable electronics. According to Northrop Grumman the capability for the company to successfully challenge others in the information and service markets relies a number of circumstance. The main factor is the ability to deploy skilled professionals, many requiring security clearances, at competitive price across the diverse spectrum of these markets.
