There are lot of different companies that are competing to create self driving cars. Self driving cars’ sensors gather information surrounding them to make decisions. This is taking the technological world to a different level, but is it harming humans? When a person is harmed, or an accident occurs due to this, what are the effects? According to the utilitarian perspective, a successful self-driving car will make people’s life easier, but it cannot be guaranteed that it is always safe to use. Unexpected accidents can occur due to a failure in the sensors, and the complexity of collision avoidance algorithms can require a value based loss of life.
