“Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win,” (30). Atticus is a firm believer in doing what is right no matter what. A hero is someone who is brave enough to stand up for their beliefs. The hero in To Kill a Mockingbird is Atticus Finch because he stood up and took the Tom Robinson despite the odds stacked up against him. Atticus has a lot of courage and bravery. Former president Lyndon B. Johnson led the Civil Rights Act of 1964 during a time where minorities were often treated poorly.     Atticus shows heroics because of his way of raising his children to be not so quick to judge therefore making him a leader of kind heart.
