The Break Up Movie Analysis

During our lifetime, we have relationships with many people and all of these relationships are different. Whether it is with significant others, family, acquaintances, or friends, it is important to know how to have a healthy relationship. Sometimes, being in a relationship helps us to recognize our mistakes and our strengths; consequently, it can makes us a better person. In the movie “The Break Up”, the two protagonists go thru the six stages of interpersonal relationships, so they can find their happiness.
Meeting new people is exciting, and falling in love is astounding. In the movie, Brooke and Gary meet during a baseball game, where Gary sees Brooke and immediately want to ask her out. This is the first contact or the first stage, where
The apartment is sold, and they are ready to get going with their lives. However, Brooke does not want to give up love, so she decide to make her last effort. He reparation stage is represented when Brooke invites Gary to a concert expecting to fix up their relation, but Gary never shows up the event. Brooke is devastated and Gary finds her crying, which makes him to realize that he has make mistakes and needs to change. Gary organizes a dinner, where he opens his heart and tells Brooke how he feels; unfortunately, it is too late, and the relationship cannot be repair. Then, the dissolution stage starts, so Brooke quits her job and decides to go on a trip, and Gary take his job more seriously, finishing up things ad taking the company to next level.
At the end, some while later, Brooke and Gary meet again by chance on the street, and they have an awkward but friendly catching up. Then, when they part ways booth glances back over their shoulder, and they share a smile. Having gone thru all the good and bad moments make each of them to recognized their strengths and their mistakes. They change, so they can improve themselves. Perhaps they are not going back together, but now they are comfortable with each other, and more importantly with their
