The Beach
The Beach The smell of salt in the air, the wind blistering my face, the sun glinting in my eyes; these are some of my favorite things about the beach. I have always loved the beach and I have always love the sights and smells of it. The first thing I always notice when I first step out of the car, even when it’s only at the beach house and not the actual beach, the smell of seaweed and salt immediately attacks my nostrils. No smell is as potently sweet as the sour smell of the ocean. It always reminds me of happier days and relaxation. The closer I get to the boardwalk and the ocean, the stronger the smell becomes. By the time I reach the sand, the smell is over powering, especially in that first big gust of ocean air. One of my favorite things about the beach is actually laying on the beach. Being able to feel the wind sweep sand across me, watching the tide come and go like friendly gestures, and the warmth of the sun seems to almost touch my soul. The stress simply melts away with the days and the sunscreen. As my tan grows stronger, so does my love for the sand and the ocean. I have never loved anything quite like I love being able to feel the sand rub by toes and see the sun glinting off of the water. I have always loved the food that is served on ocean front restaurants. The potent smell of delicious sea food is evident from miles away. It is also a much more relaxed atmosphere than going into inland restaurants. Sun tanned bodies slowly drift in off of the ocean with beach waved hair and sun screen covered skin. As the day slowly drifts into night, the life of the restaurant kicks into high gear. More and more people pack in and the food begins to roll out. Crab stuffed shrimp is my personal favorite seafood dish and, it can be smelled all across the city. There is nothing better than eating fresh seafood while watching the waves roll in. I have never loved anything quite like I love the sights and smell of the beach. I

We enjoyed the atlantic ocean, the warm white sand, and the scorching hot sun. We could hear the huge waves crashing into the sandy shore. We could also hear the lively chatter of the people on the beach. The smell of the salty ocean and the banana boat sunscreen overtook the air with mass quantities of the two smells combined. The touch of the hot sand on your feet and the rough seashells on shore. The best part of the day was when me and my brother went kayaking for an hour out into the deep blue sea. It took fifteen long minutes to fight our way over the…

Second of all, the three aspects I’m going to discuss about the beach are climate, types of activities and location. Warm climate is one of the most important features that the beach has. Sun and fun are two words that describe the beach. The temperature in those places is always hot. The sea and the warm climate determine the activities that are available at the beach. People can swim, play volleyball, play soccer, and ride water bikes. In most of the coastal sites, there are discos and restaurants where people can dance or party…

As the children are playing water polo they are attempting to dodge the massive waves coming to the shore. The sound of the waves is so relaxing however, knowing there are young children near the powerful waves makes me nervous and on the lookout for one of them not returning above the waves. I understand the fun in dodging the waves because that was something I lived for as a child but it can be very dangerous. The touch of the soft, white sand on my feet is a feeling I will never forget. Personally, I think it is better than the feeling of soft carpet on your feet. The smell of the ocean's salt water is not one of my favorites but I adapt to it after sitting on the beach for so long. I just sit there and take in all the beautiful scene around…
