But by reading the book The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein, we understand there are some dogs that have larger desires and greater things on their mind rather than wondering when the next time they’ll eat.
Enzo understood to be a terrier, pays impeccable attention to detail. Just in a matter of second of being around his owner Denny, Enzo can tell exactly what Denny had done and where he had been that day. Believing that he is too large of a responsibility, always on pain medicine, hips constantly throbbing with movement, and never ending doctor visits, he just wants to set his owner free of this immense liability of constantly needing care. At the end of chapter one, we discover what Enzo doesn’t know is that his owner has the same idea, but it isn’t intended to help himself the intended result is to let Enzo free. Denny plans to make a one way trip to the veterinarian, to finally free Enzo of his pain and his un-attachable liability. Both Denny and Enzo have the plan to relieve each other from something that is holding them back.
Having a fascination in different cultures and countries is an understatement for Enzo, periodically throughout the book Enzo describes TV shows and documentaries he has watched. His love for different cultures is clearly demonstrated, and it shows a passionate interest to travel and experience.
The author created many characteristics for Enzo such as paying attention to detail and showing interest in cultures. But what is also significant to note from these chapters is how Enzo and Denny both have the plan to relieve each other from what is holding them back from reaching their full potential. For Denny, it’s letting him have a full-time career of racing and as for Enzo it's taking away his pain and letting him become something he has always dreamt of

Enzo is a philosopher with a virtually human soul, he has educated himself enough by watching television extensively, and by listening very attentively to the words of his master, Denny Swift, a race car driver. Enzo has always felt humanly. As it is quoted in the book “I’ve always felt almost human. I’ve always known that there’s something about me that’s different than other dogs. Sure, I’m … the shell. It’s what’s inside that’s important. The soul. And my soul is very human”. (Garth Stein, 2008). This quote describes the significance of Enzo’s character in the…

Dogs are considered to be the world’s most common pet. In the course of human history, millions of domesticated dogs have been kept either as companions at homes or helpers in various needs. They are loved not simply on account of their unparalleled display of intelligence and perceived usefulness, but also because they are the kind of animals that are able to establish long-term relationships with man. As a matter of fact, man’s fondness for dogs is something that manifests frequently. If one were to take a stroll at a park or jog on a beach, one is almost sure to find someone taking his or her pet dogs for a walk. As indeed, one can rarely find a house in the neighborhood that is not a home for a dog or two. The military and police forces use them to track persons or things, inasmuch as shepherds seek their help to protect herds from wolves and other threats. If these say anything about them, they only show that dogs play a very important role in human affairs no other kind of animals can perhaps fill.…

    Essay On Street Racing

When it comes to the topic of street racing, most people agree that it is dangerous. While this is true, there is a question on whether it should be legal or not. It is becoming a bigger epidemic with more movies like The Fast and the Furious or Need for Speed, movies that are based around street racing. In an online article, Jack Baruth, a former street racer, said: “You cannot kill street racing. You can't even discourage it. Not entirely. As long as young men (and it is overwhelmingly young men) can get their hands on a vehicle of some type, there is going to be illegal racing.” Even though street racing is illegal, people are still going to find ways to do it. Why not make something legal and allow it to be regulated by officials if it’s not going to stop any time soon? For the safety of drivers and watchers, street racing should be legalized, enforcing new rules, and having officials to oversee races.…
