The Ant And The Grasshopper Theme

In life a huge problem is preparing. Preparing is important. When we push stuff to the last minute there won’t be enough opportunities. In the story the ant and the grasshopper we have two characters. One that prepares, and one that doesn’t. I think the theme of this story is “Doing stuff ahead of time pays off” I can prove it in 2 ways. One is the ant prepares for winter. Two is the grasshopper didn’t collect food and he made fun of the ant.

When the story states “The grasshopper spent the whole morning stuffing his face until he couldn’t eat another thing.” We can say that the grasshopper didn’t save any of that. He didn’t think ahead. Secondly, when the ant refuses to play with the grasshopper the story states, “Have you ever seen a more silly creature than an ant” shouted the grasshopper. As a result of the grasshoppers actions during the winter the ant had enough of everything and the grasshopper needed them. The ant didn’t help the grasshopper because he made fun of him. Also the grasshopper made music all summer and didn’t care who he was bothering or what was ahead of him.
