1. THANKSGIVING INTRODUCTION:
Thanksgiving Day is a holiday celebrated primarily in United States and Canada. Thanksgiving is a longstanding traditional holiday, celebrated annually. While Canadian celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday of October, in United States, it is held on the fourth Thursday of November. Today, thanksgiving is celebrated as a secular holiday.

2. THANKSGIVING HISTORY:
Thanksgiving Day basically presents a big thanks of Pilgrims to native Americans that started with the harvest celebration in the autumn of 1621.

The story about the Pilgrims who originally members of the English Separatist Church. They fled their home in England and sail to Holland to escape religious persecution. In Holland, they even enjoyed more religious tolerance. Seeking for a better life, the Separatist contracted with a London stock company to finance a pilgrimage to America. They aboard the ship called Mayflower. On this ship, there are both Separatists and non-Separatists, who were hired to protect the company's interest. The Pilgrims set ground at Plymouth Rock on December 11, 1620. They meet the first obstacle when the harsh winter came. The first winter devastated the harvest. Fortunately, the Native Americans helped them to survive the first year. The next harvest in 1621 was abundant, so that they decided to celebrate with a feast and invite all the Natives who helped them to present a big thanks to them. The feast lasted three days.
