Teen Suicide
The article I read on teen suicide was fairly sad to me. What happened in the article really shined a light on the reality of bullying for me. This situation showed me that some people are bullied for no reason. In this essay, I will write about the aspects of bullying, cyberbullying, and I will write about Brandi Vela’s story.
First, I would like to explain the aspects and outcomes of bullying and being bullied. A lot people think being bullied is having someone threaten to take your lunch money or beating you up after school, that isn’t always the case. In some situations, bullying can go to the extreme. Bullying can take a person to the point of no return and can lead some of the calmest people into dangerous acts like self-harm and

On those accounts they would claim that Brandi was giving up sex for money or they would put her number on the websites. Brandi couldn’t take the abuse any longer. One day, Brandi sent out a message to her family saying “I love you so much, just remember that please and I’m sorry for everything “. This message cause Brandi’s older sister Jackie to rush home to find Brandi hysterical while holding a gun to her chest. Her sister went on by saying “Brandi stop! Brandi no! “But to no avail. When Brandi’s mom and dad arrived home, the entire family tried to stop her, but Brandi had enough, her sister heard the shot from her parent’s room. According to her family, Brandi Vela was pronounced dead at the hospital. Brandi was said to be a nice, kind, loving person who was best known for her eyes. . …show more content…
Some forms are guns, pills, narcotics, alcohol, drowning, and suffocation. Depression is a very common source. When a person is depressed they feel as if they’re all alone. It’s sad b but true, some people believe that nobody is out to help them. You can feel like you are fighting the battle alone but you’re not. All you have to do is pray and look to God for support and you’ll receive it every time. I can’t imagine how it feels to undergo the causes and effects of bullying but I wouldn’t wish that pain on my worst enemy. Nobody deserves to feel the pain, to feel like less of a person because you don’t meet someone else’s expectations of who you were born to be. Never let anyone steal your shine because they are going through their life living in darkness.

Suicide amongst teenagers is a growing pandemic. However, it is preventable. The key to preventing teen suicides and attempted suicides is being aware and knowledgeable about the subject. Knowing what causes a teen to commit or attempt to commit suicide and what factors increase a teenagers risk of committing or attempting to commit suicide are the first steps towards preventing teen suicide. Teenagers are highly susceptible to suicide largely due to the way puberty affects their brains and behaviors. It is also important to understand what effects the suicide of a teen has on his or her surviving family and friends and how to help them during the grieving process. The death of a young person through suicide can have a different effect on his or her family than a death by other means. The most important thing to remember about preventing teen suicide is to know the signs and to get treatment (often psychiatric treatment, because the causes are mostly mental) for each underlying cause as early as possible.…
