STRENGTHSQUEST TALENT ANALYSIS

According to the Clifton StrengthsQuest assessment my top five themes are: Responsibility, Achiever, Learner, Focus, and Connectedness (Gallup, 2017). I’ve always been able to identify with the Learner theme. The Learner theme describes the energy and excitement in growing from inability to proficiency, as the most exciting thing about starting a project. Sometimes, when learning is the objective, it barely matters the actual venture or end goal, it is about the development. I’ve often used the idiom; “A jack of all trades, a master of none”, to define my deep desire to absorb all types of skills and material.
As a Learner I am always on the pursuit of the next project.

The Strengths Finder is an assessment that measures your real talents. Knowing your best skills and investing time on practicing and developing those talents are the two main ingredients to building and improve your true strengths and shape your performance to perfection. As a result of taking the assessment, the final comprehensive and very practical report shows what are the best five talent themes, or “strengths”, which are identified out of 34 specific themes. The result also includes explanation and association of your themes, gives you recommendations on how to benefit from them and suggest an action plan for setting and achieving your goals. This allows you to recognize and appreciate each of your own strengths as well as those of your team members, employees, employers, and others in your work settings. The author Tom Rath includes strengths finding interviews with succeed people and how they use their strengths in their benefit. This makes the report more vivid and most of the time the reader can see himself or herself in the same or similar situation in life.…

As a leader, I have prided myself on being a confidant, someone my team could come during a difficult time. I know from past issues on my team that I am always able to see both sides of a conflict and put myself in others shoes. The second theme I didn’t necessarily expect to see, but wanted…

As a writer, there are things that I do well, but there are also things I could improve on to make my writing better. I’m pretty good at getting my point across, and getting people to understand what I’m trying to say. Another thing I’m good at is just writing the paper. Once I get started on a paper it is very easy for me to just keep writing until I’m done with it. However, when doing this I tend to not use the best grammar and be too wordy with my writing. I can definitely fix these issues, and continue to build on the things that I do well.…
