Stealing In The Holy Bible
Stealing is forbidden by the 8th commandment in The Holy Bible, however; not only is the Bible the most stolen book in the world, it is also a grand work of literature which has massively impacted my life. Whether the Bible is read by an individual of faith like myself, or a nonreligious person, the book itself provides solid advice on how to get through the struggles of life and has helped me cope with multiple obstacles that have crossed my path. For instance, during my 8th grade year my best friend succumbed to juvenile Diabetes and passed away in her sleep. If it was not for the hope that delving into God’s word granted me, I cannot imagine how I would have handled the situation. I read many comforting scriptures, most notably John 14:1-3

I read the book of James and was astounded at how much I learned in such a short period of time. James encourages us to rejoice in Christ and to persevere. The main themes prevalent in this book which are wisdom, faith, trials, speech and wealth, all pertain to us today and we can use the information this book gives us to benefit from it. The book’s structure, purpose, characteristics, and history really helped teach me how to deal with the trails and temptations we as Christians face from day to day.…

“Lord please save my sister’s life. Please keep her safe even in the midst of her drunkenness and drugs. Jesus please keep her alive long enough to come to you for salvation.” I have been praying this for over 30 years and still I believe for her salvation. I am comforted by the knowledge that He hears my cries and has kept her alive thus far. In fact, last week she approached me about going to church again (she hasn’t gone since she was in middle school)!…

The reality of the problem did not give room for hope because he was consumed by the reality of the circumstance. But slowly, darkness gave way to light and his heart and mind are gently able to grasp a bigger picture. The impact of his death on him did not require an answer anymore, but in the trust in Christ power over death forever defeated. He overcome his grief with the reassurance that even with death something good is born so death is not the winner. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 1 Corinthians 15:55. The power of the resurrection is. Now there is no more time to lose lingering in what suffering brings us which is pain aches, darkness grief, sadness, pain, but what sufferings teach us, to love to be patient to understand to be like Christ who is risen from the death. That is what brought him his joy back. A joy that even the death of a son cannot take way. The resurrection of Christ plays the most important role in comforting him. Because Jesus died and rose there is an assurance that one day we will too. His resurrection shows us what is reserved for the ones who believe in him. The author knows because the disciples have seen Jesus after he was risen him too will see his son body one day which he has grieving for. “Old things have passed away . . . all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17. Sometimes we think that our plans must lead down a better road, or that God must not love us enough to protect us from this pain we feel, but God actually uses the painful experiences to further develop our character. Vivian Thomas could have given up when it became too discouraging, but instead he persevered and became an inspiration to many people. During times that are hard, God teaches us more about life, ourselves, and most importantly, about Him. Accounting is an information and measurement system used by mainly all businesses and organizations to provide relevant, reliable and comparable information about its business activities, (Wild, & Shaw, & Chiappetta, 2011, p.272). Accounting Information Systems is a fundamental part of determining the success of an organization. An effective information system provides Internal controls which consist in policies and procedures implemented by a company to allow managers to monitor and control business activities. The Bible could be compared to an organization’s Internal Controls in the sense that it is the Holy and infallible Word of God for human kind and it was meant to “provide guidance, to teach, to rebuke, to discipline and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17, NIV). As human beings with a fallen nature, we tend to fall into temptation and undermine the consequences that follow as a result. We have the free will to deliberate among different choices, and when these choices may offer personal gains and profit, our principles and values may be compromised if we are not rooted in the truth which is the Word of God. The Bible aims to establish a code of conduct and behavior for believers to avoid wrongdoings and engage in fraudulent activities.…

All over the world, millions of people are suffering daily. Unfortunately, many of them do not know Christ and/or don’t have a way to get to know Him. The fortunate few are able to pray and believe that God will help them get through their sufferings and that He knows what His best for them. They know that God has a plan for them and they should trust in Him with all of their needs. Unfortunately, some of those who don’t know God have resorted to taking their own lives because they felt like there was no one listening to them. In the Great Depression, so many people felt like no one was listening to them or hearing them and felt like they needed to die. In World War I and World War II, families started to become depressed when their family…

By showing the love and honor that God places in our lives, the security of a fantastic future, the abilities and miracles that can be proven in the Bible are all good places to start. One can also give their own personal story or testimony of victory since giving their life to Christ. By witnessing to people, regardless of their background, God works through us to get His work done. The teaching of faith is very important in Christianity. One can describe faith as “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 NKJV. The Bible has all the answers to life's…

The Bible is the uniting fundamental of all the denominations, and encapsulates the core values and beliefs of Christianity, providing illustrations to answer questions about ethics. The Bible contains the key ethics and morals of Christianity however; they are out-dated by centuries resulting in a lack of information regarding ethical questions relevant to today’s society. Though some views on topics relating to bioethics differ between various denominations, there are several concepts that remain universal to Christianity. These concepts are the predominant teachings of Jesus – that it is paramount that love and respect for all beings is present. By applying the foundational teachings along with extra guidance from the scripture, debates…

    Adversity Research Paper

In less than twenty-four hours my aunt passed away, followed by a dear friend. More recently, my great uncle died. He was like a father to many of us who, at one time in our lives, were fatherless. I have attended more funeral this year than any one person should have to. Each and every day someone wakes up to an empty spot on the bed beside them, or an empty house, or even without a parent or role model. My family has had to show great bravery in basically a long string of what seems like bad luck. Some of the deaths were from old age, some were from illness, and one was done intentionally before his time should have been up. I believe that if he had someone to teach him about God's love and how when everything seems to be going wrong one can turn to him, that I would still have an eighteen year old cousin, who loved life and what it has to offer. If he had shown true bravery he would still be here today. He showed fear by taking his own life and not trusting God to make a way. It would have helped if he hadn't been raised in a home where there was no God. His mother doesn't believe in Him. Even still, I believe that showing bravery by continuing with life and its hardships takes work. Adversity and bad luck seem to follow some around like a rain cloud. But with God's love and power, He can grant us an understanding to deal with the things that seem like too much to…

    My Personal Faith

My faith has enabled me to handle life challenges from my past and present. Some of these challenges have been series of events that I could hardly believe were happening, while others came with great joy. At five years old, my younger brother, Chandler, died unexpectedly. This was a tough challenge for my whole family to face. This challenge could have easily torn my family apart but together, as a team with God, we worked hard at picking up the pieces and moving forward even when there were days that seemed to be impossible. In the fifth grade, I was diagnosed with a common learning disability known as Attention Deficit Disorder. I am faced with this challenge on a daily basis. I have learned to cope with this disorder over the years by making prayer and patience priorities in helping me conquer this challenge. This challenge was especially difficult during my SAT and ACT tests. Certain scores on these tests were required to get into college and play NCAA football. The stress and pressure of taking these tests felt unbearable at times. While studying and before and during each test, I would remind myself that, through God, all things are possible. With God by my side, I was able to achieve the scores needed to reach my college and athletic goals.…
