Statement Of Purpose: Marine Corps JROTC Program
The first thought of what a leader is calls to mind the great leaders the world has seen in the past; for example, Aung San Suu Kyi is a prime example of a leader who literally gave up her own freedom to oppose military rule in Burma, or Myanmar, in order to gain a democratic rule. She, along with many other outstanding leaders are the people young leaders of today look up to which includes myself. Throughout high school I have a wonderful opportunity to participate in my school’s Marine Corps JROTC program which focuses on Leadership Education and preparing young leaders for the future. In my fourth year of high school, I have the greatest opportunity I have ever been offered before by being the MCJROTC program’s Cadet Commanding Officer.
