College is one of the periods of life where there is most growth, both personally and academically. Going to college is a very challenging yet rewarding experience. It brings people out of their comfort zones personally, whereas academically, people get to focus more on what they are good at. In my case, it will be a challenge to adapt to the college environment at the same time that it will be very comfortable to finally study subjects that truly interest me. This exciting challenge is the main reason I want to go to college. Most people want to go to college to get a degree and earn a lot of money, which leads them to more expensive and selective colleges. I, on the other hand, intend to focus more on the course and the subjects I will study.…
I am very excited for the opportunity to be a part of the National Honor Society. I look forward to helping others in our school and throughout the community. I feel this opportunity would be great for both me and the community.…
My name is Brandi Augeson, I am a senior at Lourdes High School. My passion is helping children to learn and have fun. My favorite sport to play is lacrosse but since I was little I have been watching football and hockey, therefore, I love both of those sports. Most of my time goes into my job at Old Navy, I have been working there for 2 years now and I still love working there. In my free time I enjoy painting and sketching. I cant wait…

Hi, My name is Maritza Garcia and I love spending time with my friends and family. Even though I barely go out because of work. I love animals and food so much but as well helping others. My future plans would be traveling around the world helping out families in needs. But I am still undecided on what to major in. Also but not last I want to thank God each and every day for this air I breathe. I hope one day when I do something out of my life that my parents are proud of me.…
College is the only way to make something better of my life. I am not sure what I want to be yet, but as I continue my with my first semester I am getting a feel for different…
Understanding that college is a time of both personal and educational growth, I positively anticipate many things. As an undergrad, I will join organizations and activities while participating actively in them. For academic and language enrichment, I aspire to travel to a Latin American country to study abroad. Also, I aim to be successful in my studies while balancing them with a part-time job. As a result of my hardwork and progression, I desire to obtain an internship as I network with area professionals. Besides focusing on my education, I look forward to finding my purpose. That being said, I am a firm believer that everyone is on this Earth to serve a purpose. As I nurture my skillset and zero in on my interests I look forward to discovering what position within business I am here to serve in. Ultimately, I am excited utilize the next four years of my life to have experiences that I will look back on in 30 years and be proud of having…
Planning for my future is extremely important for me especially because I decided to go back to college at an older age. I am currently 26 years old, married with no children. While I am currently attending school part time because of my full time work schedule, I intend to continue taking classes during winter and summer sessions to make up for the extra credits and continue on a full time pace.…
College is important to me as it is required for me to achieve the two careers that I am most interested in. I know that it will be challenging as high school was also. With the support systems of my parents, grandparents and siblings, mentors and friends I know I will be successful.…
For now, I plan to study engineering at a four year college, which is why I signed up to take AP Chemistry along with AP Physics C my senior year. As I gain more experiential learning through the internship, I will have a better idea of what I would like to study for my major in college and pursue as a career.…
The reason why i want to attend college is because it will be an honor to my family and especially to my mother. College is not common in my family because no one has gone to college yet and I would want to be the first in my family to attend a 4 year university. Going to college will make me feel proud of myself because I will make my mom proud and not just that, but make myself proud of all the accomplishments i have accomplished so far. Personally my career goals is to do something i'm just not going to enjoy for a temporality time, but for the rest of my life. The field where i would want to study is physical therapy or a field where i would be working with bones, possibly I can major in english. Physical therapy grabs my attention because i used to play soccer, but due to health issues I stopped playing, started coaching my brothers team and what i enjoyed from that experience was when someone would…
I found dreams I never knew I would want to accomplish so desperately, which is another reason I started taking college classes my senior year through a running start program. I have found myself valuing all of my work and dedication much more, because being independent has definitely been a beautiful episode that forced me to be an adult. I see myself going to a four-year school and find a job where i can operate with kids and people facing struggles. I love sociology and have always thought of myself working to help others. I have started a new passion towards history and society change over time which has made me strongly perplexed about a career choice. Due to my indecisiveness, I continue to take as many classes as I can, to clarify my decisions, and hope to find a perfect career for…
Growing up i’ve had many goals and ambitions but the most important one has always been to attend college and get my degrees to make my parents proud. My parents did not have the opportunity that i now have, and i feel very lucky being the first one in my family that will go to college. My parents have always told me that getting a good education is very important and it’s why i’ve always wanted to go to college since I was younger. Growing up I actually wanted to become a teacher but then changed my mind when i started high school and learned that psychology was what I really wanted to do. My goal is to get my bachelor’s in psychology and then i will continue going to school to become a Clinical Psychologist and one day work in a mental health clinic helping people so they can overcome their mental illness.…
College will be something I sure am nervous about with what I want to study. I have had some teachers tell me I am beyond my years because most people my age are not thinking about philosophy. Studying philosophy is something people say is a waste of time or not profitable without even thinking of what the word philosophy means. Philosophy means love of knowledge or wisdom, meaning it is not meant to be profitable nor is it a waste of time, we just want to learn more, be it about ancient western philosophy or the way of the Tao Te Ching which was written by Laozi. Other than my studies it should be very intriguing how college will fold…
In that I plan on going into a four year university or a California State school, although somewhere close to home so I can still stay in touch with my family and friends. My top choices are Cal Poly,UCSB,SSU, and UCLA.I have high hopes in getting into one of these Universities. Although that I want to stay local, I do want to move out and live on my own in a apartment close to the college campus. I want to experience the independence and freedom of an adult.Although , before that all happens I have to inquire a job that lets me have the luxury of owning my own apartment and having things inside my apartment. Nonetheless, those are temporary goals that will help me to grow independent and successful in the future. Meanwhile, in college I will be focusing on majoring in business. The area in business I want to focus the most in is to be an accountant. In order to be an successful accountant I have to challenge myself to take a test specifically for an accountant, the test is called the CPA. That test will allow to gain more money and make more qualified for available positions for major…
