If you could change anything about the last four years of your life, what would it be and why?
If I could change anything about the last four years of my life, I know of a few things I would rewrite. I would tell myself that my real friends would reveal themselves, and to sooner accept that not all childhood friends would stay. Furthermore, after finding those true friends, I should have valued our time together more. This I realize as my best friend leaves for the Navy in July. Additionally, I would tell myself to not hold back; to try new things. Whether it be dance team, working in retail or a mission trip, I wish I would have allowed myself for these various new experiences. Lastly, I would have myself visit my grandma more frequently before her

Understanding that college is a time of both personal and educational growth, I positively anticipate many things. As an undergrad, I will join organizations and activities while participating actively in them. For academic and language enrichment, I aspire to travel to a Latin American country to study abroad. Also, I aim to be successful in my studies while balancing them with a part-time job. As a result of my hardwork and progression, I desire to obtain an internship as I network with area professionals. Besides focusing on my education, I look forward to finding my purpose. That being said, I am a firm believer that everyone is on this Earth to serve a purpose. As I nurture my skillset and zero in on my interests I look forward to discovering what position within business I am here to serve in. Ultimately, I am excited utilize the next four years of my life to have experiences that I will look back on in 30 years and be proud of having

One of the choices I made would be to be a more caring and helpful person. I was always both caring and helpful, but just sometimes and to certain people. I really like helping people and caring for them, I know it makes them happy, so it makes me happy. Even though I have a lot going on in my life, I like to be a caring person; it helps everyone out a little bit. If I could tell everyone in the world one thing, it would be: “Do things to your best ability and help those that need help, or a…

If I could have one do-over in life, I would relive my sister Myra's adoption day. The adoption took place about nine years ago, when Myra and I were both five. I remember feeling extremely petulant because I was wearing a dress. I cannot blame my younger self for my actions because I didn't truly know what I was doing, but I as I look back on that day, I feel a twinge of regret, due to a typical child reaction. The pictures that were taken show my sisters, smiling and excited, and me, looking sulky and bad-tempered; in essence, I was being a brat. I regret my behavior because I'm afraid that Myra might have believed that my attitude was because I didn't want to be her sister, and that was most certainly not the case. I was having a selfish…

If I were given the opportunity to change something, I would definitely choose to go back and do over the years I was in high school. During my time there, it was more important for me to do things that were more fun than sitting in class and learning. I thought that being in school was only useful for socializing and passing time. I only went because my parents forced me and so I never put any real effort into it, my adult life suffered very much because of it. Not having a high school education set me back in a lot of ways, and it closed many potentially successful job opportunities. After finally realizing what I lost, I decided to come back to school. I finally see doors opening for me now, that could have been open for me since the beginning…

For my peers, a concrete immediate change in my life would be, respecting what they say rather than judging them right off the bat from what I see. A long-term goal would be thinking before I speak to my peers because sometimes I say what I’m thinking rather than being respectful and not hurting their feelings. For society, a concrete immediate change in my life would be looking into what opportunities I can get involved to help others. The birth of my daughter! Although, it was a . Having a child changes life so dramatically, regardless of how old you are when you have a child. I no longer lived for myself, my social life was taper down, I could no longer decide last minute that I wanted to watch a movie, or go shopping because I had an infant that needs my constant care. All of a sudden, I had this huge responsibility and this person I cared so much about. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to do the best job raising my child to be a good and successful person. Just as I had to change what I did on a day-to-day basis, I also had to change my thought process to the point where I was always thinking about what’s best for my child and to where I try to live my life so as to be an example to my child. On the flip side, I find that my life is more focused because I anchor my life on my child. Overall, having a baby makes us so much more aware of our duty and responsibilities to others and less hung up on our own…
