Starcraft 2
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game developed and released by Blizzard Entertainment for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. A sequel to the award-winning 1998 video game StarCraft and its expansion set Brood War, the game was released worldwide on July 27, 2010.[6] It is split into three installments: the base game with the subtitle Wings of Liberty, an expansion pack Heart of the Swarm, as well as an upcoming expansion pack Legacy of the Void.[7]
The game revolves around three species: the Terrans, human exiles from Earth; the Zerg, a super-species of assimilated life forms;[8] and the Protoss, a technologically advanced species with vast mental powers. Wings of Liberty focuses on the Terrans, while the expansions Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void will focus on the Zerg and Protoss, respectively. The game is set four years after the events of 1998's StarCraft: Brood War, and follows the exploits of Jim Raynor as he leads an insurgent group against the autocratic Terran Dominion. The game includes both new and returning characters and locations from the original game.
The game was met with very positive reviews from critics, receiving an aggregated score of 93% from Metacritic. Similar to its predecessor, StarCraft II was praised for its engaging gameplay, as well as its introduction of new features and improved storytelling. The game was criticized for lacking features that existed in the original StarCraft game including LAN play and the ability to switch between multiplayer regions. At the time of its release, StarCraft II became the fastest selling real-time strategy game of all time, with over three million copies sold worldwide in the first

Beginning with bacteria and unicellular organism, through invertebrates, fish and amphibians, on to reptiles, birds, and eventually land mammals, species have evolved in huge leaps and bounds in the millions of years that our planet has been in existence. We have moved out of the water and onto the land, we have developed brains and nervous systems, highly advanced survival instincts and social and behavioral traits that did not exist millions of years ago. Species have evolved to become more diverse and more complex through a number of different biological trends. But as much as we can learn about these phenomena by observing changes over time, in it much more difficult to predict where evolution is heading in the long run. Which species will survive and thrive, and which will find themselves unable to carry on due to changing conditions, threats, and competition? Evolution has allowed humans in particular to thrive and become creatures of choice, freedom, and responsibility. Although other animals have gained somewhat similar traits, it is clear that humans have control in hierarchy of animal society. In our rise to domination, we have created a disadvantage for other species to evolve to their full capacity. It is perhaps hard for more than one species to evolve towards full freedom at the same time. If humans found themselves faced with a dramatic change in environment…

At first, Trans-Galactic Tournament may seem like a game that isn’t your cup of tea. The art style is rather eccentric, and the characters and champions look more like Saturday morning cartoon characters we all used to watch back when we were kids. Don’t let the presentation fool you though: the game has a lot of depth, and despite the art style, the character designs are well-done. Notable characters include Ninjette, a stealthy female katana-wielding robot ninja, and Rook, a mage-like robot.…

He begins with the fact that the video game and film industries both take money from companies that make firearms to feature their products. The U.S. military then uses the video game Call of Duty for recruitment and training. It’s no use arguing whether the media, the military, or the gun industry are responsible for rates of violence, he observes, since they’re in cahoots. These extreme examples intersect with the everyday, mundane lessons about the importance of being “real men” that boys and men receive from the media and their peers, parents, coaches, and more.…

One of these MMORPGs is called World of Warcraft, also known as WoW by both its fans and critics. First released to North America in 2004, WoW currently holds the Guinness World Record for the world 's “most popular subscription-based Massively Multiplayer Online Role Player (sic) Game” with “a total of over 12 million subscribers” (Most). In this game, players choose a character out of thirteen races that are divided into two factions – the Alliance and the Horde. The Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Night Elf, Draenei, and Worgen races make up the Alliance, whereas the Orc, Troll, Undead, Tauren, Blood Elf, and Goblin races are a part of the Horde; Pandaren can choose to be on either side. Players then choose a class such as a Mage, Warlock, Priest, Rogue, Druid, Hunter, Shaman, Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight, or Monk and can then customize their avatar to their liking (World). Once a player has created their character, they are thrown into a medieval setting; avatars adventure through different lands filled with castles, forests, dragons, and other monsters, collecting treasure called “loot” along the way (Nardi). Players start at level 1 and can advance to level 90 in a process called “leveling” by completing quests, or mini-games, that give them gold,…

Out of all of the Call of Duty games, the best one in my opinion is modern warfare 2. I will admit, black ops one and modern warfare 3 are very good games, but I still will say that modern warfare 2 is the best ever made. This game is easily the best because of many reasons, such as the guns, kill streaks, maps, and this is where quick scoping became a huge thing. Quick scoping is where you use a sniper and you aim in really quick for a second and try and kill the person. You can make quick scoping very fun and challenging.…
