St Francis Persuasive Speech
Starting on Tuesday, Pope Francis began a visit to the US; in which he passed through the cities of Washington, D.C., New York City and Philadelphia.

On Wednesday, President Obama welcomed the Pope to the White House, and then leads a prayer at St Matthew's Cathedral.

This is important because it marks a good doctrine between them, and by getting together, changes can be made; the Pope and the US president have same points of view on issues like defending the poor and climate change, and although the are at odds over other matters like gay marriage and abortion, they meeting is a friendly one.
That same day, in Washington, a girl was able to give the Pope a letter where she expressed her sadness about how current laws, because her parents are undocumented and she is afraid

Also, at Philadelphia, he had a meeting with five victims of sex abuse. these adults were abused as minors by clergy, family members, or their own teachers.

“I have in my heart, the stories of suffering and pain of the minors who were sexually abused by priests. And, it continues to overwhelm me with shame that the people who were charged with taking care of these tender ones violated that trust and caused them a profound pain. God weeps. I am profoundly sorry that your innocence was violated by those who you trusted," Pope Francis told victims.
But the groups from the victims say that the church hasn’t done enough to help children. “Encouraging that he did take time to meet with the victims of clergy abuse.
