Raymond's Run

Raymond's run is a story about a young girl named Squeaky, her disabled brother Raymond, and how they find out what each other can do. Squeaky is a show off to her friends and family, because she knows she is the fastest around and she is proud of it. She can win any land race she enters and knows it. On the other hand there is her older brother Raymond who she has to look after. He might be disabled but in the end it turns out he's not that bad at everything.

The story leads us into Harlem, New York, with a young girl called Squeaky and her brother Raymond. Squeaky is a very big show off and she knows it. She might have short legs but that doesn't stop her. She is the fastest runner is Harlem and she loves to go around telling everyone. She is very confident and she doesn't pay attention to the haters. She enters the race for her age group every year, and guess what. Every year she wins, and if she didn't she

This is another one of the reasons why Gretchen was insulting Raymond. He was trying to get underneath Squeaky's skin and get her mad. Squeaky did not let Gretchen though, instead squeaky just argued with Gretchen and her friends a little, defended her brother and kept on her jog. When it it's time for the race Squeaky got her number and lined up at the start. She saw Gretchen start to spread her legs out like a pro would, and started to respect her more. She started to respect her a little bit more because she never knew that Gretchen was a true athlete and might be competition.

In the end Squeaky won the race. She saw that Raymond would be a great runner and decided that she would coach him. She wanted Raymond to be just like her. She also thought that since Gretchen knew how to run she would ask Gretchen to coach Raymond with her. So I guess in the end everything turned out alright. Squeaky and Gretchen don't hate each other, and Raymond now has a future in
