Chapel Hill Recreation Center
Mission statement:
The Chapel Hill Recreation Center promotes the desire of students and our community to seek and maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle. The Center ensures that its environment and programs remain stimulating, challenging, and inviting. Recreation and leisure activities offered by the Chapel Hill Recreation Center focus on integrating mind and body through positive traditional and non-traditional recreation and sport activities.
Facilities:

The facilities for the new Chapel Hill Recreation Center consist of two basketball gymnasiums, one state of the art weight room, two baseball and softball fields and one state of the art swimming pools.
Target Audience:
The Population of Chapel Hill, NC is 57,233 since 2010. Out of the 57,233, 31.5% are in the age range of 18 to 24 that are in school in the surrounding area. Our facilities will be targeting that 31.5%. Our sub target audience would be the 19.8% of the populations that is leveling below the poverty line. With that 19.8% we can set certain membership offers so no person will be turned away and also give people below the poverty line something to do rather than involving themselves in crimes. So our facilities will be attracting 51.3% of Chapel Hill’s population with being affordable membership in mind.
Memberships:
For the weight room facility we will have different types of payment plan, the first one would biweekly payment plan. This voids out long-term comment with paying as you go. When people first sign up they will pay the first two and last two biweekly payment each and we will also automatically charge your credit card every other week for, as long that person is a member. We also have paid in full membership, which allows a person save more when they pay in full at time of purchase. The last payment plan will be friends and Family; people can add friends or family

I have been made aware of your plan to build a beneficial facility for young people in Chino Hills. Please read the following letter that will explain to you that building a youth activity center would be most beneficial to our wonderful city. Many may say that no one would come to the James Larson Youth Activity Center because of its membership fees, but any child who cannot afford the fee because financial problems in their family can submit their information and will be able to attend the facility. All the membership fees collected from the facility will go towards the facility itself, and to pay for certified workers. A few reasons the youth activity center should be built are, the center will be a great place for students to get tutored afterschool, in the long run, improving their state-standardized testing scores, building the James Larson Youth Activity center will also be a great place for youth to get involved in their community, volunteering all around the Chino/Chino Hills area, and finally, the James Larson Youth Activity Center will have many facilities and a variety of activities for youth to participate in, preventing them otherwise spending their time elsewhere, getting into trouble.…

This course works to help students become engaged in the community and work to fulfill President Fry’s dream. This course pairs each student with an organization that is in the immediate area around Drexel, and the type of service varies from class to class. I felt that it was important to include this course as one of the main ways that Drexel is civically engaged because it helps teach students about the needs of the community and allows them to become a citizen of the surrounding area. I have personal experience with the Wright Recreational Center, one of the partners that works with Drexel. This is an after school program that allows for the students to interact with Drexel student, receive help with homework, and have some fun in the gym. This has been an eye-opening experience for me because it demonstrated the importance of getting involved in the community through the smiles and laughter during my short experience. The kids were ecstatic that Drexel kids would be helping them, showing how much a small gesture could really make on someone else’s…

Broadly speaking, the facility is devoted to student recreation and socialization. It may contain lounges, wellness centers, dining facilities or vendors, and entertainment venues. The student activity center is often the center of student affairs and activities and may house the offices of the student government or other student groups. It may also act as a small conference center, with its meeting rooms rented out to student groups and local organizations holding conferences or competitions (for instance, the Michigan Union hosts the University of Michigan Model United Nations conference).…
