The hunting shows hunters that only shoot the big mature bucks. This could be considered sport hunting because they are doing it for points. I don't think that sport hunting is something you should do. There are different laws for different animals.
Hunting is important to a lot of families these days. There are more than 40 million people who are 16 and older who hunt(USFWS-WSFR National Survey). As time goes on the percentage goes up. In 2011, the number of hunters went up 3%(USFWS-WSFR National Survey). All of the main choices are fishing and hunting. Iconic African species are declining at a startling speed because of unsustainable hunting. Consider the African lion for example. Their numbers have reduced from approximately 450,000 in the 1940s to 200,000. Furthermore Oxford University research shows that by 2035, the number of lions will likely be decreased by a further 50%. Trophy hunters contribute to this decline by killing around 105,000 animals every year. the original intention of trophy hunters was to control healthy populations of individual species. Numbers were managed under the guise of culling. However, the trophy hunters never stopped hunting even when healthy numbers were achieved, and the trophy hunting has become a status symbol for the wealthy, especially in Asia.…

The idea of hunting to humans is when one human kills an animal for sport or for food, but we have never thought of what it would be like to be hunted ourselves. For instance, that is what happens in the story ¨The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, the protagonist Sanger Rainsford Falls off his ship and washed up on Ship-Trap Island. Rainsford then finds General Zaroff, who likes to hunt humans, and he comes to the conception that the General is a little disturbing. In that time, they come to different point of views on hunting. General Zaroff decides to hunt Rainsford on the Island, and Rainsford escape General Zaroff only to come back to him and fight him to the death. Furthermore, The theme of the story is that there is danger in…

Personally, I think that the morality of hunting depends on the situation. If the hunter is strictly doing his job of providing food for his family and community, then that is fine. However, if they are doing it for the thrill and for pleasure and they aren't even going to eat what they kill, then these people need to take a moment to step back and realize that what they are doing is in no way right and they are the people giving genuine hunters a poor…

Hunting is a popular entertainment in the United States and particularly in the state of Texas. Roughly four percent of Americans are hunters, and their family members are generally supporters of hunting. In Texas, nearly eight percent of people, along with some of their family members, participate in and admire hunting. Many states issue licenses for hunting and allocate certain forest areas for hunters. During the hunting seasons, hunters, some with their interested family members as well, flock into designated areas, shoot and kill such animals as deer and birds, and enjoy the practice. From their viewpoint, hunting is a source of…

Would you hunt humans for sport? I wouldn’t because it would be messed up. Animals are meant to be hunted not humans. Now you would be put in jail for murder if you would hunt humans. In the story I read, “The Most Dangerous Game”, Rainsford is a hunter who is going on a hunting trip. He is on a boat going to the Amazon to hunt when he drops his pipe and falls off the boat. He sees an island with lights so he starts swimming toward it and he gets on the island and meets Zaroff. Zaroff is the owner of the island and he asks why Rainsford was on the island. Rainsford told him he was on a boat to go to the Amazons for a hunting trip. The story “The Most Dangerous Game” is about two men, Zaroff and Rainsford, both hunters but one has a different view on hunting, the…

In fact, leasing private land has become such big business that approximately $624 million is spent by hunters every year! Remember, not only are there advantages for hunting on leased land for you when looking for a trophy deer but this also creates alternative income for the landowner so it is a win-win situation. Another advantage of a deer hunting lease is that you have the chance to build lifelong friendships with the landowners. Once you find one or two locations that you enjoy hunting most, you would return each year. Because of this, great friendships often develop and in some cases the landowner ends up going on the hunt.…

“Many of the animals are so tame that people can walk right up to them. They have no chance.” States Lena Masr. These animals have been have been raised around people knowing nothing about getting shot, so when they actually trust someone the trust gets taken away along with the animals lives. If exotic hunting were to be a thing it should at least be in Africa where the animals can run and attempt to get away from killed and/ or harmed. Lara Logan states “A Texas hunting ranch is not the same as being in a reserve in Sagal.” ”The future for Oryx’s is Africa… not Texas.” Hunters waste so much money paying to hunt animals, however if people were to hunt they should be hunting in Africa where the animals can run away rather than being trapped in a cage. If anything hunting a caged animal is pointless, “People who kill them are cowardly.” Exclaims Lena Mesri, hunting these animals or any animals in general is pointless unless it is for survival purposes or any other logical…

You’re driving home from a movie with your best friends and you’re doing about 60 on a country road you’ve known all your life. All of a sudden, out of your peripheral view, you see a couple of deer heading straight for your cars path. You hit the brake to try to avoid them and narrowly miss. You think to yourself how lucky you are that you didn’t hit one. What you didn’t know is the couple of deer you saw used to be a pack of 4 deer. A week earlier, two different hunters each took a deer from that herd. If it wasn’t for the hunters, you probably would’ve hit at least one deer. Deer hunting isn’t as bad as it is portrayed to be! Hunting controls the deer population and along with predator population and the number of accidents involving deer decrease because of good ethical hunting.…

Many animals endure prolonged, painful deaths when they are injured but not killed by hunters. What the author fails to consider is that most people that hunt are not hunting to just kill most are trying to feed there family or put meat in there fridge. According to peta the delicate balance of ecosystems ensures their survival if they are left unaltered. Natural predators help maintain this balance by killing only the sickest and weakest individuals. Hunters, however, kill any animal whose head they would like to hang over the fireplace including large, healthy animals who are needed to keep the population strong. Although this may be true the ecosystem is going to kill off populations a lot slower than kill animals such as deer are self, killing isn't bad if you using the deer for good causes. On private lands that are set up as for-profit hunting reserves or game ranches, hunters can pay to kill native and exotic species in “canned hunts.” This is true, but people that go out and hunt in canned hunts usually after they kill a deer they give the meat to share your harvest and help families in need.…

Trophy hunting is where someone kills exotic wild animals for pure enjoyment. Many trophy hunters will hang up the animal’s skin or the head as a reward. Hunting on the other hand is mainly killing deers, bears, turkeys, boars and many other animals for food and clothing. Hunting is used for food and clothing which is helpful for us, but just using animals for their heads to say you killed one seems inhumane. Trophy hunting is unacceptable for several reasons. According to a 2015 Business Insider article, about 70,000 animals are killed each year by trophy hunters, and most of the animals are either endangered, threatened, or near-threatened.…

the ethics of deer hunting are simply common sense; Keep-It-Simple-Stupid. basically knowing the difference between right and wrong, and having good sportsmanship. another thing to take into great consideration is safety; always think the big “what if…”. it is better to be safe, than sorry; in other words, if one thinks they may need it(for the hunting trip), pack it. just might be that it is needed. this means being smart on what gear is taken out to the woods, or wherever it may be on is going; what goes out must come back, plus more if a deer(or more) is bagged, or harvested. if presented with a possible shot, make sure that it’ll be a clean shot, a humane shot so to say. from what , the one place where, in the hunting society, that all…

Public debates about trophy hunting often centers on the question of the morality of recreational hunting or the extent to which the money paid by sportsmen seeking a trophy animal provides a conservation benefit to the overall population of game animals and the rural economies where the game is hunted. Bears, cougars, deer, foxes, and other animals who are chased, trapped, and even killed by dogs during hunts are not the only ones to suffer from this variant of the “sport.” Hunting for fun destroys property and injure or kill horses, cows, dogs, cats, hikers, and other hunters (Trophy…
