Sonos Play 5 Analysis
Exceptional sound quality, a terrific app, and ample volume—the Sonos Play:5 surely impresses. For the most part, though, the outstanding sound quality alone makes this speaker a worthy investment for the serious audiophile.

There’s a good reason the Play:5 has been included in our top 10 portable speakers list. We’ll get into the details after the jump.

Design

About the size of a small PC tower, the speaker weighs 6 kgs and has a simple, understated design. But don’t let its plain-looking appearance fool you because its sound could easily blow you away!

You can set the Play:5 to either stand or lay flat with no problem, too. It helps that its touch-sensitive buttons are on the side, right next to the Sonos logo. The cleverly designed

The Sonos Multi-Room System

The Play:5 along with other Sonos wireless speakers are individually excellent, most of them good enough to fill a room with full sounds on their own. But put them all (or even just two) together and from awesome they become amazing.

Sonos multi-room setup is a powerful, wireless streaming system that you can control from your smartphone. Simply select the room where you’ve set up a Sonos speaker, queue what music to play with the device, and you’re set for a fully immersive listening experience wherever you are in the house.

Verdict

The compact yet powerful Sonos Play:5 is easily one of the best-sounding Wi-Fi speakers you’ll ever see on the market. It’s a bit pricey, sure, but it’s sound quality is nearly parallel to none. It’s full, well-rounded sound makes it a worthwhile investment for the most part. It does come with a lengthy setup process and a lack of Bluetooth, Google Cast, and AirPlay support.

Overall, it’s a great speaker to have when you live in a spacious home for its sheer power. When you live in a small flat or apartment, it’ll be an overkill (and you should probably turn the volume down a little

True to its title, this album contains multitudes of sound — from brass band blare and deep-groove funk, to bluesy beauty and hip-hop/pop swagger — and plenty of emotion all anchored, of course, by stellar playing and the idea that, even in the toughest of times, as Andrews says, "Music brings unity."…

One of my favorite radio medians is Pandora Internet Radio. I enjoy Pandora for the simple fact of variety there over a 700,000 songs in the database. (PANDORA) There are many great radio stations out there. However, after awhile they continue to cycle through the same songs over and over. With Pandora the listeners can suggest specific artists, or genres of music, or a comedian and Pandora not only plays that artist, but artist that are similar to them through that station.…

You are at home after a long day of school, and you have nothing to do. Being a vivid music, lover I would grab my headphones and listen to some tunes. There are two major brands of headphones that many prefer beats and bose. Beats and Bose headphones are great, but they have different aspects for both of them. Dr. Dre, a famous, well-known music artist, came out with the brand beats in 2006. While Amar G. Bose was the creator of the Bose corporation in 1964 which does not only make headphones but also speakers. The creator does not necess arily make the headphones better though. Its the brand that makes them more popular.…

When you think of play you don’t really think about or realize how important it really is in a child’s life. It consists of five elements, and these elements are the make-up and the meaning of play. The first element is that it is pleasurable and enjoyable. This means it must be fun! In order for it to be considered play, there must be a fun and enjoyable element to it. Play also has no extrinsic goal which means it is engaged for the sake of it, and not announced. This is what is so spontaneous about it, it isn’t planned or structured. You (and the child) are free to do what they want! Also, play is spontaneous and involuntary and made to not seem like work. Similar to the previous element of play, this one also means that is has a fun non structured feature to it. Play must also not be assigned. It is freely chosen by the player and they use their ideas and imagination to interact and start playing. The fourth element of play is that is involves active engagement. The player is active and wants to participate in the activity. If they act like they don’t care or they do not want to participate, this is not considered play. The last and fifth element of play is the make-believe aspect. This, to me, is the most fun! There is no literal component attached and their minds can develop freely. (Hirsh-Pasek)…

The jazz style that “Take Five” resembles most is cool jazz or west coast jazz. This song features light and soft tones with simple melodies. This song has a slow tempo with a smooth and relaxed feel to it. These are all important characteristics of cool jazz. “Take Five” has a unique time signature that is not found in cool jazz or any other types of jazz. This song does have some swing influences as well as the classical influences that Brubeck brings to the music. “Take Five” is an interesting song because the drummer is used for an improvisation in the middle of the song and the piano and bass maintain the rhythm. The alto saxophone establishes a melodic theme in the beginning, which is repeated at the end of the song. “Take Five” is not…

As for the speaker’s sound quality, it definitely fares better than the Echo. Although it’s sufficiently loud enough to fill the living room, it isn’t that powerful to bring the house down. But don’t get your hopes too high. The Home doesn’t have stereo speakers and its bass lacks punch, honestly. You’re probably better off picking one among the best wireless headphones when looking for a wireless audio experience. It makes up for it, though, by having the ability to connect to any good pair of speakers. Simply add the Chromecast Audio and tell the Home to play music through that than its own built-in speaker as a…
