Someone Who Motivates Me
Someone who motivates me.

Motivation is the reason we get out of bed in the morning instead of sleeping all day. It is what drives us to get to work or the gym and work harder, smarter, and more efficiently than the day before. Motivation is the reason that great ideas are turned into great accomplishments. Motivation is what drives us to get things done! When a person plans or wants to do something, he or she has a motivation for that specific thing. In other words, when a person does something, that person has a reason why he or she should do that thing. Not always there is a reason to do something, but sometimes may be many reasons that are backing a person to take those actions to do it.

A person who motivates me all life is my mom. She has affected my life greatly and has helped me become the person I am today. She always says the right things to get me where I need to be and get done what I need done. She inspires me to be a better person, make better choices, she possesses good qualities that I try to obtain, and she pushes me along towards my goals. During my education at school in my country, she was putting interests in my heart and constantly was supporting me financially, morally and physically every step of the way. She has been my teacher, a counselor, and a role model. Her advice, teachings, and determined character have stayed with me throughout my life. It is because of her that I now possess the calm, friendly personality that everyone associates me with; it is because of her that I have the determination to gain the most out of my education, and it is because of her that I am hopeful to achieve my future goals. She has positively motivated me in many different ways, and I am glad to have a mother such as her. She has not only been my mother and helped me stay on the right path, but she has also been the best friend I have always counted upon. Even through the troubled and awkward during my first years in the United States, she was the person who motivated me to go back to school and study, because she believed that I have a bright future ahead of me. When I got my first job, she motivates me to buy a car, to go to work quicker and to be safety at night when I was coming from work.

My mother always motivates me to make choices, to be the boss of myself. She tells me to write down the advantages and the disadvantages of each choice on paper, and then consider the pros and cons carefully to make a final decision. However, after making a decision, she reminds me that I should be ready to face the consequences that my choice might bring forth. In other words, she wants me to be prepared to face the worst case scenario. She never forces me to do anything and I think this is why I am such an independent and self-managing person today.

The author Lambert Deckers describes motivation “as the process by which a person is moved into action (Deckers, 2010).” Additionally, the text refers to Atkinson and McClelland’s definition of motive as “a person’s internal disposition to be concerned with and approach positive incentives and avoid negative incentives (Deckers, 2010).” Basically for every action, there is a background reason for why the action was taken. There are many things that contribute to motivation, but two main sources of motivation are internal and external sources.…

Motivation can be defined as ‘a reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way’ or a ‘desire or willingness to do something’ (Oxford dictionary, 2010). These definitions suggest that motivation is both internal and external and is the core intentions behind a person’s behaviour. This implies that mankind is constantly being motivated and each new experience/ encounter will alter and change a person’s motivation, and as a result the choices/decisions they make. Therefore to fully comprehend the idea of motivations is complex.…

There are so many people that influenced my development and my character and one of them is my mother. My mother is loving, caring, encouraging, and much more than that. She is truly an amazing mother and she really shaped me into who I am today and who I want to be in the future. My mother inspires and motivates me to become someone who is thankful to be where i am today. I look up to my mom for advice and guidance and she is truly my shoulder to cry on. My mother always wants the best for me just like every mother wants for her daughter. my mom is my role model because she opened my eyes up in the world to see what kindness is and she taught me to always put the ones you love first in life. I can only aspire to be as generous a person as her. After I saw how amazing it is to be generous I joined many volunteering places such as friend ship circle which is an organization for children with special needs, where I can help the lives of some of the truly amazing and special children who need help. To care for those children for even one moment is priceless. I began volunteering in eleventh grade, and although it is some times hard to work with special needs children, it is rewarding to know that I can be a positive influence in their lives. My mother told me that no matter where you are you can open your doors to help others. in my future college experience I hope to continue to do kindness…
