Snowing In To Kill A Mockingbird

In part 1 of the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" there is a girl named Jean Finch, nicknamed Scout, and her brother Jem Finch live in Maycomb with their father Atticus Finch. Atticus is a lawyer who is loved by the whole city. Scout and Jem have a cook named Calpurnia who is like a mother figure in the house since the kid's mom died when Scout was a young girl. Scout doesn't remember her mother but Jem does. Jem gets sad when he thinks of their mother. A boy named Charles Harris, nicknamed Dill,moves in with his aunt, Miss Haveford, nextdoor to the Finches. All summer the three hung out doing fun things together. One day Dill comes up with the idea of going to a house owned by a so called crazy guy that Scout calls "Boo Radley".Boo doesn't come out the house much. Dill
The kids got away but Jem left his pants at the Radley house. Dill lies to Atticus telling him that he took his pants. Atticus believes them and Jem went back that night to get his pants back. Jem finds his pants mysteriously hanging on a fence. There is a real winter in Maycomb which is rare. It is snowing which causes school to shut down. One night Atticus wakes Scout and takes her outside because Miss Maudie's house is on fire. During the fire someone puts a blanket around Scout.Atticus asks her who put it on her and she doesn't know. Jem then realizes that it was Boo radley that did it and Scout is sick to her stomach just thinking about it. Scout is starting to get mad because kids are making fun her because her dad is defending a black man. Scout's first instinct is to fight them. Atticus has told her to stop. There is a lady named Mrs.Dubose who always yells at Scout and Jem. Atticus wants Jem to be nice to her because she is old. Jem was being nice to her till one day she made him mad by telling him that Atticus isn't better than the "N word and trash he works for." Scout then loses it and starts destroying her
