I'm going to speak a little bit about china.
-China has 1.3 billion people, a little over 20 percent of the world’s population. - The capitol city is Beijing and I have been there myself. China is the fourth largest country in the world. Only Russia, Canada and USA are larger. - The Great Wall of China is the longest man-made structure found anywhere in the world. The main reason for making the wall was to protect themselves against the Mongols. The wall is around 5.500 miles long. - Giant pandas are a national treasure in China. There are about 1 thousand 6 hundred pandas living in the wild today. - The biggest mountain in china is Mount Everest, which is located right on the border between Nepal and China. - In China, a person’s family name comes first, followed by the first name. There is no middle name. - - In 2008, China hosted the Olympic Games. This is the most expensive event that has been done worldwide. - Mandarin Chinese is the primary language, and is spoken by more than 70 percent of the population. - Mao Zedong is well known in China. He introduced the communism. When I was in China, I went to his "grave". It was disgusting to see a dead man, but the worst thing was that so many people would see him 40 years after his death. - China has an exciting history that no other country can match. The culture is very different than here, but I recommend going there.
