Servant Leadership Qualities

Thank you, Jennifer, for your feedback. I do see myself as a leader in both my personal and work environments. Though I do identify myself with the qualities of a traditional leader, I feel more aligned with the qualities of a servant leader. Servant leadership consists of the following principles: listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship, commitment to the growth of others, and the ability to build a community (Spears, 2010). I am the charge nurse, who applies almost all these principles in my daily life. Being a leader of the unit I work at, I demonstrate the qualities of listening, empathy, healing, awareness, and persuasion. This makes me align with a servant leader. When I resolve the
