A car that drives without you having to touch the steering wheel may be safer than a manual car. It would give off signals and receive them as well and would prevent car accidents and stay focus to reach you to your destination A Self Driving Car is smarter than a human because it can do things faster than we can do. When we do repetitive tasks we tend to become easily distracted and the result is that people text, eat, fall asleep, etc. Self-driving cars are able to maintain the same level of alertness 100% of the time. Of the self-driving cars already on the road, there is a clear track record of safety with the majority of accidents being the result of human errors from the other drivers.
