For me I think that the assignment that was most engaging would have to be that of, when we learned about Multiple Intelligences. The reason for this is because it made me realize that there is so many different ways that a child can learn. I was amazed as I watched the interview with Howard Gardner at how different each of the intelligences was, and how each of them played an important part when it comes to learning.

Yes, I have most definitely learned many new things when it comes to this assignment. The one thing that sticks out the most to me is when I was given the opportunity to take the Intelligence Test. The results that I got after taking the test were amazing. The results not only showed me that my strengths were Naturalistic, visual/spatial, logical. And intra personal, but also that my strengths was musical, kinaesthetic, linguistic, and also interpersonal. This gives me the ability to know what my strengths are but, also what the weaknesses are when it comes to me learning.

I feel that I will most likely use the knowledge that I gained from taking the test as well as Mr. Howard Gardner’s video and use this in my classroom. I feel that Mr. Gardner made a lot of good suggestions in the video. I feel that some of the topics he talked about were also an “eye opener” when it comes to teaching young children.

I feel that the assignment or activity that I exceled in would have to be that of, when we had to design a classroom for twenty-five First Grade students. To me this assignment taught me what I needed to have available in my classroom for the students, as well as the best way to arrange the classroom so that the students receive the best learning.
As I was given the opportunity to look at the classrooms that some of my classmates designed I was able to gain so ideas from them as well. One of my classmates decided to use tables for her students. However she also had a desk set off to the side for a student that was not able to work in a group setting. I feel that I should have also thought of this when I designed my classroom.

There are some students that work well in groups as well as with other students. Then there are students that would prefer to work quietly away from the noise and distractions of other students. I feel for me that the case is I also prefer to work by myself away from all the noise and distractions of others. The reason for me is because I can concentrate better on what I am working on and study at more of my own pace.

If eel that the areas I could have improved on would have to be that of my journal entry from week two. I feel that I would have gotten a better grade if I would have taken more time on the assignment and went into more details with my entry. I also feel that had I have not made a careless mistake and turned in the wrong assignment then my journal entry would not have been late.

In the future I will make sure that I take time on my work and not make any careless mistakes like this in order to receive the full credit possible for the work that I turn in. I must say that this class has taught my so much when it comes to young children and the way that they learn. I hope to be able to use all of the knowledge that I have gained from this class in the future for teaching the students in my classroom.

I have a better understanding of all the topics we went over during the 8 weeks. The fun part I had with each section is placing people with the different ways. For example, when we learned about leading, rewarding, communications, etc. it was fun to match up the different managers/leaders within my organization to the different styles there were to doing things. It helped a lot to put definitions into application.…

My first activity was called Buttermilk, it was adding vinegar to milk to make plastic; my aim was to get the children to investigate why when you add vinegar to milk it turns to plastic. I wanted the children to ask lots of different questions to show that they are investigating; I would then ask them to see if they have gained some knowledge.…

When you want to know something, one of the greatest ways to learn is to interview someone on a topic that you know nothing about or a little about. To help me learn more about the Early Education field I interviewed a lead teacher from the local Head Start Preschool program. She was able to give me more insight on what is needed to be done to become a teacher and what is required of her.…

In week two I learned a lot about how different databases reflect in different ways according to the different business needs. During the second discussion question I learned about how the two major databases, Microsoft Access and Oracle are leading the top businesses today. There were many differences between the two and I found that in my career I have been using both without knowing it at first. The individual assignment was probably the most informative portion of the week because I was able to learn more about the business systems and am now able to apply them to where I work now.…

However, with the good times also came the bad times in school projects. Perhaps the project I am least proud of or could have been better was the trigonometric modeling project for my math analysis class. It's not the fact that the project wasn't fun or even hard, but because it was too straightforward and dull ,in terms of creativity, I did not find it to be the best project. The standards were so easy to meet that to do the project was perhaps one of the easiest tasks anyone could have done their junior year. I’m the type of individual to find joy in a challenge and when one isn’t provided I lack the enthusiasm to do…

the assignment was to write a second person point of view informative on how to become any occupation of our choice (Naturally I chose the occupation astronaut, a occupation I knew practically nothing on beyond what I could pick up from Sandra Bullock and George Clooney). The essay was difficult to write, it challenged the entirety of my knowledge of grammar. I persevered and wrote a great paper I was proud of. In that class I learned more than how to better my writing but how to appreciate writing and the power it has. It was that class that made me realize the pen truly is mightier than the sword, as lame as that sounds.…

In high school biology, chemistry, and math were always the easiest and most interesting subjects to me. My sophomore year I maintained 102% average in my biology class, my teacher, Mrs. Backer, was very impressed and suggested I take AP biology and her forensics class. So my junior year I took the forensics class and I was hooked! I was constantly trying to work ahead or get more out of my teacher. I wanted to know everything and do everything in that class. I had never been so into a class before, I wouldn’t miss a day in that class for anything. That class was what set my career choice in stone;…
