School Club Research Paper
I have always been the person to help my friends and classmates with their schoolwork, as I enjoy the feeling of fulfillment and achievement I gain whenever I help them overcome challenges. To me, if I had made their life easier or helped them in any way, then I had done my job as a friend and as a classmate. So, I sought to give this help to more people, and in the beginning of junior year, I helped start a tutoring club at my school. It involved helping kids from the local middle school with their classwork and schoolwork. The club started off with a very small number of kids a day, often times the number

Some Sumer activities that I like to do or achieve for the school break are having fun with my friends and family and play. On really hot days we go down to the lake and play in the water or go fishing. I also like to play with my dog and go for walks with her if I'm not dragging her all the way there and back. Sometimes I do work with my dad most of the times it involves a lot of elbow grease. I love to do fun activities with my mom that does relate a little work, at the end she gets us a treat. On the days I'm not doing anything I go out with friends or they come to my house, and if I'm good we go to get air, other wise, we just watch movies and relax. On other days when we are in the garden I like to swim, maybe even play with the sprinklers and bother my brothers.…

The dictionary defines brotherhood in two ways. The first is, the condition or quality of being a brother or brothers. The second is, all those engaged in a particular trade or profession or sharing a common interest or quality. These two definitions of brotherhood show the basic criteria of a brotherhood. The one thing the definition does not put into perspective is the deep brotherhood of the Rockhurst High School Swim & Dive team. The Rockhurst High School Swim & Dive team is a brotherhood. The brotherhood of the Rockhurst High School Swim & Dive team shows that they are not an individual based team, they do everything together, and they are a goal driven team.…

Should Conroe High School remove their rule on not letting kids leave school to get food? Yes, Some students do not eat lunch at all and also because some of the food is disgusting, and being able to leave the school during lunch would be better for the students, we would be able to hang out for a little outside of school instead of being in class for 8 hours.…

Most students enjoy summer vacation, but some educators feel like the summer breaks are too long and students do not retain information as easily when they return in the fall. I believe that we should not have year round school because students and teachers have important responsibilities, personal time, and school and work obligations.…

As seasons change, and the school year progresses, many students lose that “first day of school excitement” (I know that I do!) (parenthesis) that they once felt. So how do we regain that joy that once filled us? The answer is simple, year round school. Having school year round will enable students to expand their knowledge, decrease the time during which kids are idle when they tend to get into the most trouble, and reduce the stress levels of both teachers and students.…

Seventh grade is a struggle for almost every student. It is a completely different atmosphere compared to what students have adapted to in their elementary years. My seventh-grade year started as a struggle, but after hard work and determination, it ended in success. I was a student at Bayou Academy and had been since kindergarten. I was always an honor roll student. It had never been a struggle for me to make good grades. Everything was about to change because of my seventh-grade English teacher, Mrs. Maria Johnson. Because of all of the journal writing in Mrs. Johnson's class, I am a better student today.…

In my opinion being a tutor is more than helping a busy college student complete a homework assignment or studying for an upcoming exam. You can offer much more to someone struggling when you have experienced what they are going through. Many college students hold part-time jobs, take several credits, and get very few hours of sleep which leave them stressed and overwhelmed. When students come to me for tutoring I don’t just complete the assignment and send them on my way. I ask them what they need help with, what their course load is like, how much work they do outside of school and what else they have going on that could be making their education more complicated than it needs to be.…

Throughout high school, I was involved in multiple extracurricular activities, including, but not limited to, Friends of Rachel and Desert Vista Peer Tutoring (DVPT). During my time as the secretary of Friends of Rachel, I managed all the attendance and arranged all meeting times for the club. I especially enjoyed being the receptionist for Friends of Rachel because through my tasks, I was able to develop my organizational and planning skills. Meanwhile, during the two days per week I spent at DVPT, I tutored hundreds of students in subjects ranging from mathematics, science, history, English, and Spanish. I, also, took on the role of receptionist for DVPT where I facilitated the entire tutoring center by pairing tutors and tutees, marking…
