Satanic Cult Case Study
Next door to David was the Carr family, including brothers John and Michael Carr, father Sam Carr, and their labrador retriever Hank. Befriending these two brothers Michael and John, David was introduced to their cult following, a Satanic Cult named “The Process”. Berkowitz describes this cult as being his family, as him finding his place in the world and finding something and someone who actually cared about him and was surrounded by people who had the same issues growing up, and were looking for the same comfort David was looking for. With this cult following a lot was asked of their followers, including Berkowitz, and a lot of nonsense and brainwashing was being put into their heads. These Satanic meetings and Satanic worships led to the death of 5 more people in New York City and 6 more brutally injured all falling onto the shoulders of Mr. Berkowitz later on down the line. …show more content…
Christine Freund, Virginia Voskerichian, Valentina Suriani, Alexander Esau, and Stacy Moskowitz all fell to the bullets of a .44 caliber round and sparked a statewide search of nearly over 300 officers for the newly introduced “.44 caliber killer”. The police were thumped when it came to these killings, there was no motive behind it, no reason to target these victims, but there were a couple things that stayed consistent. All of the victims who died besides Alexander Esau were young female women, all these killings were late at night, and all done by the same gun, the same caliber bullet. But something was extremely off, every eye witness account of the suspected gun man painted a different illustration of the man responsible for shooting and none closely resembled each other. With the public looking out for multiple people that have been illustrated in

Young and afraid, David Harris claims Randall Adams is the gunman who shot down Robert Wood in Dallas, consequently many of the case’s investigators accept such a conviction due to the need for a “wrap up” of the case; furthermore the DA, in effort to keep his perfect win record by convicting Adams, and his desire for the death penalty…

Throughout this book there are many important details leading up to the trial of James Richardson. James Richardson was the accused in the case of the deceased NY Police Officer John Skagen. John Skagen was shot to death in a NY subway station on June 28, 1972. The Facts in this case are clear; Officer Skagen was coming home from court that day, he was in plain clothes at the time of the incident in question. He was off duty. As he went into the subway he had noticed a tall black male, with short hair, a dark complexion and a round face. Richardson was wearing dark pants and a waist-length green dashiki. Tucked in his waist was a nickel-plated, snub-nosed, .32 caliber revolver.…

(Bronx, 245) “The similarities amongst the cases were hard to ignore. Not only had all the victims been young women or couples in the outer boroughs, but the weapon used in every attack was a .44 caliber charter arms revolver”. (Bronx, 247) The gun on the other hand proved to be no use on identifying the subject. Out of the 28,000 .44 caliber revolvers produced, 667 accounts of this item were reported stolen. (Bronx, 249) Apparently frustrated with the lack of progress in the summer of 1977 the “Son of Sam” proceeded to taunt both the papers and the police departments, claiming that he “can’t stop killing”, and “Sam’s a thirsty lad and he won’t let me stop killing until he gets his fill of blood”. (Bronx, 254) Citizens didn’t primarily help either. Women were calling into service hotlines naming husbands, ex-husbands, and boyfriends as suspects. As each day passed without an arrest, Mayor Abe Beame's reelection chances grew slimmer and slimmer as opponents such as Abzug, Cuomo and the eventual winner, Ed Koch, pressured him for failing to keep the city safe. “Like the tidal wave of looting and arson that accompanied the blackout, the .44 caliber killer hysteria had altered New Yorkers…

In the picture Anthony Bolin, a boy, 5 years old, was holding a gun with his both hands and watching cartoons. There are two things that the viewer could differentiate him from the normal kids instantly. One is the way that he held the gun. Anthony held the gun like an experienced gun-user did, and he even put his finger on the trigger. He looked alert and ready to pull the trigger anytime. Another is his dead eye. The dead eye made him look like a fighter and looked similar with those disobedient criminal kids. From the caption we knew more details: “…five months after being shot in his living room. … his grandmother noticed a change in his attitude. "He's become tougher, like a teenager," she said. It struck me that kids aren't allowed to be kids anymore.” (Joseph) That was the story behind this photo, which is more sad and shocking than the picture. When these kids don’t allow to be kids anymore, what the world could look like? Gun shots and defensive murder, these experiences will definitely isolate them from other boys who only play gun in the game, which represents the majority society. Joseph’s photographs is like a window opened us an opportunity to look inside these gang kids childhood. Through Anthony Bolin, it is not hard to imagine that how earlier the gun started to intervene in these…
