A.)
Addiction is more of a psychological dependence. Addiction can make an individual feel a compulsion for a substance regardless of any negative consequences. While dependence is more of a physical need to use, an ongoing need to use psychoactive drugs. The tissues of the body actually require the presence of alcohol or other drugs to act and feel normally; and in return physically build a tolerance to the substance or substances. Ultimately the addiction aspect is more of a psychological need for a substance while dependence is both a physical and psychological need to use. B)

Some popular Central Nervous Systems Depressants are Alcohol, Barbiturates, Opioids and Benzodiazepines. These substances can be administrated orally and intravenously. The effects of these substances can be withdrawal which can cause delirium tremors, seizures, fever and much more. The worst being possibly death. Tolerance being another effect that can cause cross-tolerance causing overdose. In long-term the chronic effects of these substances can be dangerous to every organ. There can be permanent loss of memory, cirrhosis of the liver and many more problematic bodily symptoms. In conclusion these central nervous system depressants are legally available and can also cause some of the most detrimental effects on the human body.

B.) Some central nervous system stimulants are Crack Cocaine, Amphetames, Nonamphetames, Caffeine and Nicotine. Routes they can be admistered can be chewed, smoked, snorted, injected and ingested. Effects of these types of drugs can be psychomotor stimulation, alertness and all around euphoric feeling; by stimulating the reward center of the brain. Central nervous system stimulants can affect an individual by loss of appetite, thirst and fatigue. In some individuals already predisposed may cause panic attacks and extreme anxiety. Tolerance is another effect that can happen rapidly when using these stimulants and can be extremely addicting...
