What is a hero? A hero to me is a person who is brave, has a bunch of courage and knows right from wrong. You don’t have to have a mask or a suit to be a hero. A hero is willing to help a person at anytime. A hero can kill their enemy with kindness. For an example I believe Jackie Robinson is an incredible, life changing hero. He had been the first African American to play in the Major League Baseball. He had played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. They played him and they had ended racial segregation.…

What do you think a hero is? Well in my eyes Margaret Mead is a true hero because even when it was hard for woman back then to get a college degree she still managed to get her bachelor's degree, M.A., and Ph.d degrees. She went to polynesia to study how cultural differences influenced child rearing. She was a very independent and determined person. One of her quotes is “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Jimmy Carter announced that he was awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Mead. Margaret Mead was an interesting hero because of the life she lead, all the studies of different sexes, and the legacy she left behind.…

The term hero is used for many different reasons. A hero can sometimes be someone who protects the community and save lives such as policemen. A hero can also be someone in the military who risk their lives to fight for our country. Another hero could be someone who saves their team from losing in a sports match or someone who just helps the community and is a selfless individual. A hero is really someone who does greater than what they are expected to do and decides to hurt themselves until they physically or mentally go any further to make a difference in the world. The term hero does not just come to someone because they do something benevolent to the community or someone else. The term hero is something that one has to earn by pushing oneself over the limit. Daoud Hari is a prime example of a hero because he went where no other man in Darfur was willing to go. Another example of a hero is Martin Luther King Jr. because he surpassed what was expected of him and eventually died because of helping the world for a better place. Martin Luther King helped the world to not judge people by the color of their skin. Martin Luther King did not need to do this at all, but because of him doing something to change the world for a better place…

When we’re little, we develop an image that heroes are abnormal people with superpowers and capes. Although, as we get older, we start to realize that what we have been told about heroes is all a lie. There are countless people in this world stating that heroes can in fact be actual human beings with no powers whatsoever. As stated in one of Maya Angelou’s quotes, “I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people,” she is saying that anyone can be a hero as long as they meet some characteristics like how they are brave whenever a challenge comes their way, courages when they face their fears, or they are determined to do anything even if it means it could affect their life in a negative way.…

    Heroes Essay

The question remains: who is worthy to be called a hero? I have seen many people who deserve the title of a hero for many bold actions. Sure, they do not wear legendary costumes, drive bat-mobiles or possess superhuman abilities. Of course, there is much more to a hero than just what is visible to the eye. As a matter of fact, it is all about what is on the inside—the qualities and behavior fixed in a mentality. That is why self-obsessed people do not make it on the list of heroes since their mind tends to think only about one’s self. In today’s era, the people who are marked as heroes are acknowledged because they achieved something for the good of others. Looking back to an earlier time in my life, I cannot remember a time of absolute poverty in my family, thanks to my mother. She is the one person who contributed so much and asked for nothing in return. The key concept of a hero lies in selfless motivation, expanding the scope of sacrifice to offer courtesy for others.…
