SCA Personal Statement
As I look at my three years here at SCA thus far, I have come to realize how much I have grown as a student physically, spiritually, socially and of course, academically. I have grown into a young woman who dedicates most of her hours and youth learning and looking for various outlets that can be used to help foster her growth. Most days are spent reading books or articles, playing games which encourage stability while strengthening all aspects that my character is comprised of and listening to very thought-provoking videos and ideas so that I can build my mental strength and further boost my learning and receptive abilities. I want to become a well-educated and successful woman who is well aware of the world’s current problems and issues. …show more content…
I am also very happy with my GPA and where it stands. What I can say, though, is that I need to work much harder and put in much more effort so that I can perform at a better, more efficient level. To reach that level, I must dedicate a larger portion of my time to my studies, practicing questions and studying the content that I have learned. I want to keep reaching new academic heights constantly. Since I have people standing behind me who also wish for my success, I feel more determined knowing that these very same people are all successful and prosperous. They want to see the same results they have achieved within me. They are all looking from the side-lines, supporting me and wishing the best for me. They are all here to watch me grow into the person they expect me to be: a strong, independent and intelligent young woman who will help lead the future generations to come. They want me to prosper, and I am doing everything within my means to fulfil my goals and wishes. One of these persons is my mom, being the greatest influence to my performance as I strive to be like her: hardworking, dedicated and passionate about what she does. The other influences are my mother’s friends who closely watch over me with her. I am here at SCA to achieve the goal of being academically well-off, and seeing that I am almost there, I know that I am one step closer to reaching my dreams, slowly making them a

From there, I hope to study to be accepted into medical school and specialize in pediatrics. When preparing for medical school, the advice one hears are to become a well-rounded student. Through my DECA experiences I have been able to develop leadership skills that will help me thrive in my future. Over the three years I have been involved, I have stepped out my comfort zone and made a difference in my local DECA chapter, community, and my future. Now taking the responsibility of being a DECA officer, as the chapter president, has allowed me to continue to grow and develop my leadership, communication, and social skills. Working with the Milan DECA Chapter members has proven how difficult and enjoyable being a leader is. At times leading so many events can be stressful; however, the completion of the events pushes me further. In order to reach the goal of becoming ‘well-rounded’, I used DECA skills to organize my time to join other extracurriculars within my community. Along with DECA, I participate in 4-H which is a non-profit organization in counties all across the nation that prepares youth to make a positive impact on their communities. Furthermore, I lead my 4-H club in a Relay For Life team through the American Cancer Society. Additionally, I am a dedicated musician, drum major, and the first Milan High School Flute Choir Director. I am an active participant in the peer education program at Milan High School. I am so thankful for the opportunities to be a leader within my class, school, community, county, and…

When I got to the age I could start school, I was excited. I started school like any other kids my age did. Kindergarten through first grade were fun for me. Second grade came and that is when things started happening that I did not like, and third grade I absolutely hated. I was being bullied and was ignored by teachers. I was viewed differently just because that school thought I should have been in special ed. They got their way for a little while, by having my parents sign some papers that would provide some extra help, but the contract never said I would be in special ed. My parents were absolutely furious when they found out I was in special ed when they did not give permission to the school to put me in there. So came the time to move. I started attending Udall Schools in fourth grade. I was welcomed by a class that was eager to know me and teachers willing to help. My teachers helped me learn the concepts I missed from the previous school.…

During this time I would like to find a class on manual therapy to help me improve my manual therapy skills. To find a manual therapy class I will get online and look for courses, which there is some information online offered by Myofascial release treatment centers and seminars. I will just need to see if PTAs are…

Throughout my high school career, I did not show academic excellence from freshman year until the beginning of junior year. When junior year came by, I decided to show my academic potential by signing myself up for Post Secondary Enrollment Option at Concordia University. Gradually, I started to show more interest for my academics-- which taught me to become a leader not only to myself, but also to my family and peers. My commitment towards leadership and service to be a more positive difference-maker was brought up…
