Lsa Personal Statement

I have been fortunate enough over the last few years to be presented with a variety of academic subjects and interests, but they have always felt detached from reality. I see the University of Michigan’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as the filter through which I can truly determine my interests. Through LSA I can bring my interests in history and physics into a real world context.
While I may enjoy certain areas of academic study at this point in time, I have not reached the level of passion that I have reached for my musical endeavors. I believe that this is because I have attached my academic interests exclusively to my time in school classrooms, while music has brought me to many different lively events and performances. When I heard about the numerous facilities and museums available at LSA, I recognized them as a way to physically and emotionally connect to material that was previously only
It is extremely visible to me that LSA cares about the lives of its students, even after they leave the classroom. The Opportunity Hub, available to students at LSA, would allow me to connect me to connect my life as a student internships outside of academia. The extremely frequent office hours would help guide me to long-term success, the goal of my education in the first place. Furthermore, the Applied Liberal Arts division of LSA would contribute to success not just in business, but life in general. LSA providing leadership and life skills highlights the college amongst the many other institutions of higher learning that ignore the basics of living and functioning in a social environment. LSA provides an unparalleled level of facilities and programs to match my goals for higher education, most notably understanding what the world has to offer me and how I can utilize with the most
