THE PROBLEM
A. Introduction
Mathematics is a subject recognized as the mother of all learning with other subjects deriving their concepts from it , in both the arts and sciences. It is also an international language and is essential in almost every field ; handling money, measurements in fashion, angles in sports such as bowling and billiards, technology and economics. Consequently, a good performance in the subject is important. However, there are lots of factors that became hindrances in the performance in Mathematics . Measuring the academic performance of students is challenging since student performance is product of socio-economic, psychological and environmental factors . The extent of student’s learning in mathematics may be determined by the grades of a student earns for a period of learning has been done. It is believed that a grade is main indicator of such learning.

Independent variables as it influence the dependent variable of this research are on the bases of educational and psychological theories, concepts and principles.

C. Statement of the Problem
This study intended to find out the factors affecting the class performance of fourth year Quazonian students . It also aimed to answer the following questions: 1) What is the profile of the respondents according to ?

2) What extent of influence did the independent variables have on the Student class performance ?
3) Did the independent variables significantly influence students class performance? D. Significance of the Study
The researchers believes that students, particularly Quezon City High School will be serve from the findings of this study since the study give basis for awareness and better commiserative of how their current class performance in affected their grades. Moreover, gives them a more focused and clear prospect on how the precise behaviors related to their studies influenced class performance. School administrator

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the methodology that will be used in the conduct of this study and will include the discussion of research design, samplings, respondents, data gathering and statistical instrument used.

A. The Research Design
The study will use the descriptive survey design in its attempt to determine, describe and deconstruct relationships between study skills, time management and learning skills and the dependent variable which is the class performance. It tries to find out if the independent variables significantly influence the dependent variable. B. Sampling and Respondents
