Regarding the Civil/Structural Engineer position available at your company, please find the attached copy of my CV for your consideration. I am currently in final year, final semester doing my Degree in Civil Engineering (Hons) Majoring in Oil and Gas Upstream Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Perak, Malaysia. I am expected to complete my studies in September 2012 and after that I will be available for work. I have a genuine interest in the construction field and also in oil and gas industry. I have always wanted to pursue civil engineer as a career. I am highly motivated to do well and this has been shown in my academic results and performance during my work attachments. In terms of industrial experience, I have gained valuable working experience during industrial internship training. I was previously attached with Jurutera TCS Sdn. Bhd. from December 2010 to July 2011. My main tasks as a trainee structural engineer were to design double storey houses for Jurutera TCS Sdn. Bhd. I accomplished designing 3 double storey houses located at Jalan Pustaka, Jalan Dagok and Taman Heritage, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia for Jurutera TCS Sdn. Bhd. during my 8 months attachment. My scopes of tasks include assisting the design engineer to supervise and monitoring work progress of project and checking the amendments to the project designs drawings for various projects. Previously, I worked for Pragmatic Gain Sdn. Bhd. as site supervisor for the Upgrading Works at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sampadi, Lundu, Sarawak, Malaysia from May 2009 to July 2009. My main tasks were to assist the site engineer in monitoring piling works and to do maintenance works at the site. I firmly believe that I would be an excellent addition to your team, apart from it being the ideal place for me to work towards my professional career in the oil and gas industry.
