Research Paper On Should Kids Get Paid For Doing Chores
Kids should get paid for doing chores. Adults get paid for doing work, but kids can’t get a job until they're sixteen. How are we suppose to earn money if we can’t get a job? Kids are always asking for money, if you pay me for doing chores you won’t have to listen to me anymore. When kids do chores they learn responsibility, but when they get paid for doing chores they learn how hard it is to earn money and they won’t blow it all. What’s wrong with kids getting paid a little money if their learning how life works at the same time. Most parents got paid a little for doing chores when they were kids that’s how they had the money to go places such as the movies with their friends, buy snacks at a ball game, or buy a phone. It doesn’t

When we were young, mom and dad had their hands full trying to make ends meet. Dad drove a truck, mom went back for her nursing degree. During the week, mom was away, at school. My point is this: Dad was the one who cooked for us. We had more chipped beef on toast than the US Army in both world wars. That's not a complaint. Far from it. We were always well-fed, and well-loved.…

The agencies in partnership may include children's centres, early years, schools, children's social work services, primary and secondary health services, playwork, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS). In the past it has been argued that children and families have received poorer services because of the failure of professionals to understand each other's roles or to work together effectively in a multi-disciplinary manner. ECM seeks to change this, stressing that it is important that all professionals working with children are aware of the contribution that could be made by their own and each others' service and to plan and deliver their work with children and young people accordingly.…

“Five years ago juveniles were being tried for shoplifting, now we have murders, breaking out car windows … it all ties into gang activity. Six to eight months ago, a juvenile I represented said he wanted to be in a gang, so he robbed an elderly woman.” Juveniles should be convicted as adults for violent crimes because when they commit a crime and don't get caught or have any consequences after, they are basically walking around our streets with no one to notice they are criminals. If they did it once, they can do it again and get away with it. A crime is a crime no matter what the age of the criminal, they need to be punished.…

I am generally a well behaved kid. I don’t get angry easy but one thing that makes me mad is when I get in trouble for something I didn’t do. In ninth grade I sat between two kids, Ryan and Danny. I knew Ryan he was one of my good friends but, he has ADHD so he liked to mess around. I didn’t really know Danny so he did not talk to me much. I sat between them in the corner. They talked constantly to each other. Ryan would also always tell me jokes at random times and he would laugh at his own jokes. Since I was between them, the teacher would just assume that I was also talking. Eventually he moved my seat into the middle of the classroom next to a student helper. I hated going to that class because I was constantly getting pissed off.…

I grew up in a decently well off family when it came to money. I did not have to worry about getting a job at a young age, but I was never handed everything in life. I had to work for it whether it be through chores or through owing money back for what I wanted to get. My father lost his job several times while I was growing up. This was because either a company was shutting down or because he would refuse to cheat in order to make money. This was hard on our family and because my mom was a pre-school teacher, there was not a lot of money coming into the house as I became older. I mentioned several times to my parents about getting a job and they were neither for it nor against it. If I wanted a job I could get one, if I did not want a…

As I was reading this article, it made me think of my childhood growing up and how I related so close to this topic. For me, I didn't have a lot growing up so I found myself struggling with wanting all the same things my friends had that my parents couldn't always afford. My parents both worked full time jobs to provide for me and my two older brothers. Allison J. Pugh states in the article that low-income parents often planned ahead and save up to be able to buy their children what they ask for and I saw my parents do this for me and my brothers for Christmas and our birthdays. My parents taught me at a young age to stay humble and that material things don't define me as a person. I carry this lesson with my everyday life now. I see my father now buying my two younger half sisters any and everything they could ever want. I see him trying to make up for the things he couldn't give me while growing up. It also points out that your parents don't buy you things for the joy of…

We need to make sure that we are getting children through school and allowing them to make their own decisions after school instead of throwing them right into work at the age of 12. This issue is still a concern in America, but not as much as it used to be because of all of the laws that we now have put into place. It is a big concern around the world though, especially in poor countries. I can see distributive justice in child labor. “Distributive justice addresses the allocation of resources such as wealth, power, and reward” (Cannon, 36). I see a problem of us consumers continuing to consume these products that are made possible by putting children to work. The companies in between are the ones making all of the money, the children are making a couple dollars a day and we the goods are being sold for way more than that. We can make things right with these children by giving them safe working conditions and paying a little better. For example, we are all consumers of goods such as cell phones. Children are working in unsafe conditions in order to get what is needed to produce cell phones. We can do them a justice by solving the problem and finding a more efficient and safe way to produce the…
