She was 18 years old when she got pregnant It was her 8th month of pregnancy, she was happy but didn’t know how life would change into darkness in a second. I heard a loud crashing noise of the storm, and I felt scared. I was a shy ten-year-old, and I had never experienced any storm before, so I did not know what the loud, terrifying sound was. I saw few people carry her into a bamboo cradle to the hospital. My mom came and told me not to go outside that she would be back soon. She left with them. Later at night, my mom came home and she was talking to our neighbors about Maya that Maya was in labor and Maya did not tell anyone, not even her husband because Maya was bleeding which made her embarrassed to share. She gave birth, but she did not survive and the doctor said if they brought her little earlier than they could have saved her.

Some of them still have cultural and social beliefs that prevent them from expressing their problems. One of the main goals is that I hope to do are family visits
