Reflection About My Writing Process

A personal experience that was really challenging to me was the time I had to write my thesis. I remember many late nights that turned out to be weeks, then months researching, writing, and editing back and forth many of my drafts, often wondering throughout the whole process if writing the thesis would be worth it in the end. I also remember worrying if I corrected every punctuation mark, looking again over every small detail wondering if it made sense, or if I had to get rid of it all together. During my research process, I was looking over articles and books of information, wondering how I could use any or all of it in my thesis. I then realized that I had to narrow down my sources or I would instead end up writing an encyclopedia. In that
By this time, I decided to take some time to unwind from the thesis process in order to be able to focus on it with a fresh perspective. Later on, I had to give myself a pep talk, immediately gathered my thoughts and started typing again because first, this thesis was not going to write itself, and second, I had never quit on anything before even if I knew it would had resulted in failure. The reason why I never quit on something was because my family taught me the value of perseverance. Perseverance taught me that even though I had failed in something, I still tried and gave it my best. During the thesis process, I again learned why it was important for me to have the perseverance to complete my thesis. It was also important for me to focus on one goal at a time during the thesis in order to accomplish my final goal. When the thesis deadline finally arrived, I was able to complete my goals and finally be able to turn in my essay. Finally, when a few weeks had gone by, I went in for my thesis defense and later on was given the news that my thesis had finally been
