Red Andy In The Shawshank Redemption

The movie started with Red telling why they are in Shawshank Prison. Both Red and Andy are convicted of killing their wives. The only difference is that Red is guilty of the crime, while Andy is innocent. Red killed his wife by cutting the brakes of his wife’s car for insurance. On the other hand, Andy was convicted of killing his wife and her lover by shooting them in the middle of their eyes. Andy appeared guilty cause of evidences such as buying a gun on the same day of the murder with matching bullet wounds on the body of his wife and her lover and leaving a beer bottle with his fingerprints near the murder site. To add to that, Andy’s cold personality made him look like he really is a murderer. Thus, making the jury convict him of murdering his
Andy pays Red cash as his rock hammer arrives. Andy later on had bruises in his faced caused by the gang “the sisters” in the prison. They assaulted Andy in the shower and in the laundry room but Andy did not give just obey and allow them to abuse him. Andy always tries to fight them off but they still get to him from time to time. Andy approaches Red again for some rock blankets, strips of cloth used to polish rocks. Later on, Andy also asks for a poster of Rita Hayworth, a famous beautiful actor. Andy sneaks Red a pair of polished rocks for Red as a way of saying thanks. Andy and Red was chosen to tar the roof of the license-plate factory and one of the guards, Byron Hadley, complains about the IRS taking a pick chunk of money out of his inheritance. Andy overhears and offers to help by telling him that the IRS offers a one-time gift to a spouse, where he will be able to get the whole amount of his inheritance, in exchange of beer for him and his co-workers. He gets to Hadley’s good side and not long after, he was already doing everybody’s taxes and sets up a prison
