4. What are the words that make up a high-level programming language called? Key words or reserved words.
5. What are the short words that are used in assembly language called? Mnemonics.
6. What Is the different between a compiler and an interpreter? Interpreter is a program that both translate and execute the instructions in high-level language program. Where as, Compiler is used to translate the high-level language program to a machine language program.
7. What type of software control the internal operations of the computer’s hardware? Operating System.

Exploring Programming Languages

The 1970s was a very outstanding year for programming languages. The five most popular languages of the decade where Ada, Pascal, C, Smalltalk, and bliss. The creators of the languages are as follow: Ada-Jean Ichbiah at Alsys in the 1970s primarily for applications used by the U.S. department of Defense.
