Reasons For The Death Of Romeo And Juliet
Who was to blame? The death of Romeo and Juliet. The one who caused them to die together. Lord and Lady Capulet. They were partly responsible for keeping the feud going. They had authority over their household, and could have stopped the quarrelling if they wanted to.They should have paid more attention to Juliet's wishes and listened to her opinions. They were too hard on her when she refused to marry Paris. Lord and Lady Capulet disliked the Montagues. They had enough when they had heard that Romeo, a Montague had killed Tybalt.Lord and Lady Capulet wanted Romeo dead avoiding that Tybalt had killed Mercutio.Lord and Lady Montague knew that Romeo had killed Tybalt but it was not also fair that the Capulets wanted Romeo dead when one of their people had killed Romeo’s friends and asked for the prince to not have Romeo dead. The prince had decided to have Romeo Banished from Verona since he was not the only one who had committed murder. Act III,Scene 1,Lines 120-190
Lady Capulet “ He is a Kingsman to the Montague;Affection makes him false,he speaks not true. Some twenty of them fought in this black strife,And all those twenty could but kill one life.I beg for justice ,which thou,Prince, must give.Romeo slew Tybalt;Romeo must not live.”

I believe the people in Romeo and Juliet’s lives helped cause their death. One person who helps cause their death was Tybalt. I think he helped cause their death because if he would have stopped trying to fight Romeo, then Romeo wouldn’t have killed him. If Romeo wouldn’t of killed him, then Juliet’s parents wouldn’t of rushed her into marrying Paris, then she wouldn’t of came to Romeo’s father talking about killing herself. Friar Laurence also helped with their deaths because he is the one who gave Juliet the sleeping potion, which made Romeo think he was dead. These are the people I think helped cause Romeo and Juliet’s…

Although it seems unfair to blame the victim, I blame Romeo for his part in his own and Juliet’s death. To start of, he goes to the Capulet party with a bunch of his friends, even though it’s very clear to Romeo that he is not wanted there. When Romeo first hears of this party, the servingman actually says “and, if you be not of the house of Montagues, I pray…

They each contributed to the problem in some way. The prince says “Capulet, Montague, see what a scourge is laid upon your hate,” (pg 130) implying that the fault lays in the feud. However, the servants reigniting the feud, Juliet and especially Romeo rushing their love, Lord Capulet’s stubbornness, Friar Lawrence’s needlessly complicated plan, and many other characters’ flaws are all to blame. Some have varying extents of blame, for example even though Romeo and Juliet rushed their love, teenage hormones are a reasonable excuse for this so some of the blame can be alleviated from them. Whereas the feud between the two families is the obstacle that made Romeo and Juliet’s love complicated to begin with, which puts more of the blame on the heads of the households. But in general, everyone can be said to have some amount of blame for the death of Romeo and…

These deaths that occur appear in, and greatly impact, both the Montague and Capulet families. When Romeo first appears at the Capulet party, Tybalt instantaneously notices him, and becomes quite angry. Tybalt runs to Lord Capulet, to see he can be granted to permission to remove of Romeo. Lord Capulet responds surprisingly well to the news of Romeo arriving at the party. “Content thee gentle coz. Let him alone.” States Capulet in act 1 scene 5. However, Tybalt has a different opinion on what should happen to Romeo. Because of Tybalt’s differing opinion, he later, in act 3 scene 1, finds Romeo and proceeds to throw insults around. Mercutio, Romeo’s best friend, becomes angry at Tybalt for insulting his best friend, and decides to fight with Tybalt. Romeo disagrees with this decision and tries to break up the fight. Mercutio ends up being stabbed by Tybalt, and then out of anger Romeo kills Tybalt. Because all of these characters had differing opinions, lives were lost, leaving long lasting effects on both…
