REACTION PAPER OFR THE MOVIE “THE ISLAND” After watching movie “The Island”, which is all about cloning and how it affects the life of the real people, you can conclude from it if you’re pro or against cloning.

The story start with the life of the clones whose like prisons that every little thing they do is under surveillance and they are not allow to talk with people in the opposite gender. They believe that when they won the random lottery, they can go to the island and can be free. They are hypnotized that the purpose in their life is to be in the so-called “Island”. But the truth is, they are just going to be killed by the Doctors of the company to get their internal organs that was needed by the real people with their identity. The objective of the company is to earn money through making clones of the people who needs replacement internal organs for them to survive.

For me, I am against cloning not just because they can take your own identity but also because they are just using these clones for earning too much money. They are using these pitiful clones for the sake of money. Although they are the ones who made them, they have no rights to make them and then, kill them and get their internal organs. They are also hypnotizing these clones and making them believe with their lies. One thing is for sure, no one is allowed to extend their life if it’s not in God’s plan for them, so those rich people are not allowed to go to a company and make their clones just to extend their lives. If they are going to die, then accept the fact and never hate God for that because all the things that are happening to us are chosen by Him and we are not allowed to question that. He has plans for each of us and we should only go for

Let's just say if a clone survives birth and it’s childhood and had Large Offspring Syndrome, If all of the conditions like cardiomyopathy diabetes, high rates of heart and lung damage, kidney failure brain abnormalities etc. The animal in labor and the clone is give birth in a filthy Barn house. In that scenario the clone animal that is giving birth, percentage of life is one in million. Another reason that cloning should not be in society is the lack of diversity. “Cloning involves a process of creating identical genes. As such, there would be a lack of diversity in animalkind. Scientists believe this lack of diversity will lower the different animal race’s ability to adapt. Plus, there would be a lack of diversity in the world leading to everyone looking the same.…

I think cloning is bad because if we genetically alter clones and develop people to be perfect beings then there will not be diversity and there will be problems because people will be choosing selected genes to make the perfect child. Everyone will have the same bodies and diseases will kill a lot of humans because they are all the same. Cloning is also a big moral issue because the concept of making people could interfere or disrupt people’s beliefs and religions.…

“ It lays the technical groundwork for cloning-to-produce-children, which raises a host of ethical concerns. It could lead to fetal farming--growing cloned embryos to a later stage so that their valuable organs can be harvested for research or transplantation.” (Stark) This quote shows that clones can be created for their organs which could also help people. “Boisselier said the public needs to know "there is a huge demand" for cloning technology from couples unable to have children.” (Spar) This quote shows that people can use clones as their children if they are unable to have children. As you can see, The evidence shows that cloning would be a big help for…

Evidence: “ With the advancement and expansion of technology science has been able to achieve new wonders. These improvements and discoveries in science have allowed the human race to explore and learn more about the world. One such phenomenon is cloning. Cloning has opened the doors to explore human beings in a way that was once never possible. With cloning the human body, as well as other organisms, will be studied. Cloning and genetic engineering will both come into play to improve scientific knowledge.” (Serendip, 1)Citation: ( Serendip, Cloning right or wrong)Evidence: Many people believe human cloning should be banned prior to human defects, health problems, not proper treatment, and many other things. Human cloning Has not been exactly successful, and most of the time it has failed. However, scientist are trying to figure things out and fix itCitation: ( Serendip, Cloning right or wrong)…

Many people say that everyone in the world has a twin. Today, science and technology has the ability to make this myth reality through the process of cloning. I am strongly against cloning for many reasons. People should not utilize cloning because it would destroy individuality and uniqueness, cause overpopulation, animal cruelty, it is against morals and ethics, and it violates many religious beliefs.…

With so many enhancements in medical science, cloning is slowly but surely looking like it could be in the near future. However, is it really an option that should be considered as a way to extend human life? There are a number of negatives involved with reproductive cloning. According to udemy.com, “95% of animal cloning has ended in failure due to genetic defects, and cloning is considered unsafe because of it” (Quinonez). Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus written by Mary Shelley goes along very well with the statement that science can go too far. In the book Victor Frankenstein created a monster that he later regretted creating him. Many believe that cloning is against God’s wishes because the clones would be created by man. Man would be playing God and create people that are unable to feel and empathize. There is also the belief that these clones would be created without a soul. Whatever peoples view on cloning…

It feels like just yesterday that you were standing before me screeching these horrid words to me saying. “Devil! Do you dare approach me? And do not you fear the fierce vengeance of my arm wreaked on your miserable head? Begone, vile insect! Or rather stay, that I may trample you to dust! And those victims whom you have so diabolically murdered!” (Shelley 65). Though I expected this reception yet, as I said that day, it still burdens me to think about how we interacted. You may be wondering why am I writing to you and beginning in this manner. Well I felt the need to inform you of my recent finding along the woods just two days pass. I was walking through when I happened to stumble upon a satchel filled with narrations on a very peculiar topic to me at the time. I have spent time since then extensively reading my findings and comprehending what treasure I encountered. The articles discussed a medical issue known as cloning which I will tell you now I do not agree with for reasons I will explain to you. The article from an institution known as the University of Utah…

Cloning has many uses that can be both positive and negative. It gives hope to patients waiting for organ donations, can possibly help endangered species reproduce but also has the potential to cause new diseases and divide society. I believe that cloning can be beneficial for the use of creating organs for ill patients however I believe it is ethically wrong to make clones of deceased people or animals because it could lead to more prejudice in…

The worst part about cloning animals and humans is it results in failure most of the time. In the article “Arguments for and Against Creating Human Clones”, it states “95-98% of mammalian cloning experiments have resulted in failures in the form of miscarriages, stillbirths, and life- threatening anomalies”. Itś clearly a fail most of the time so why should taxpayers waist money for it? I believe in the fact that everyone in this world is different and unique. Cloning ourselves would lessen our value and our uniqueness. The article “Arguments for…

What do you think about cloning? Many people often consider it as a popular sci-fi movie topic, but little do they know that it has already become a reality. Many animals have been cloned in the past, and science is eager to move onto bigger and better things. However, the next step in cloning is one of great debate and controversy; human cloning. The biggest obstacle in cloning research is the ethical concern for human life and well-being, one that has caused human cloning to be banned in countless countries. Of course, not all cloning is about making an identical copy of someone, and not all of it can be considered negative.…

I believe everyone has a personal right, ethically based, to uniqueness, autonomy, and personality. Reproductive cloning traverses a major limit by removing the most essential aspect of autonomy that we are created individuals and are supremely unique (McKnight). Cloning of humans is playing God and should not be attempted. According to Genesis 1:26 God made man in his image he formed man from the dust and gave him life by sharing His own breath (Genesis 2:7). Therefore, man is distinctive among all God’s creations, having a body, an immaterial soul and spirit.…

"What we call process is the exchange of one nuisance for another nuisance." This quote by Henry Havelook Ellis describes the outcome of cloning that the world has seen so far and will continue to see if strict laws regulating cloning research are not set into place. Due to governmental regulations, cloning research has slowed down. If such legislations continue, the process of cloning will continue to demolish. If these laws proceed, the creation of the human race will remain in the hands of God -- not in the hands of scientists. Cloning has shown few positive outcomes and many negative. Cloning research is not something of the recent past, but something that has been a controversial issue for over 50 years (Cloning). If no laws are set into…

A great point that helps to prove this point is, “Under what circumstances would we tolerate the creation of a human clone?” (McKie) The answer to this question is that we wouldn’t. I do not believe the world is ready for the radical changes that would occur, and the evidence from the articles helps to prove the thesis because the cons outweigh and contradict the pros. The quote that best describes the topic in general, “The fact that human beings can be cloned is a scientific triumph, but it is also an ethical earthquake” (Smith). Until the world is ready for cloning, that quote will best show how the majority feel about the…
