The story starts out in a deserted area with only one house left standing, the rest of the town looks to have been bombed and destroyed by fire. The house has been fortified with lots of advanced technology to keep the people living in it safe. A silhouette on the side of the house shows the family burnt in a painting. A common theme of this story is that humans often rely on technology and feel safer with it, unfortunately this is a false feeling.
