Rap Monster Research Paper
“I am just me. I’m not an idol. I’m not an artist. I’m not Hip Hop, not anything. I am just me. I am Rap Monster. I am Kim Namjoon.” Rap Monster (Kim Namjoon). My role model is Rap Monster from BTS. I love how witty and intelligent he is, his rapping skills, and the hard work he contributes. Those are just a few reasons to why I look up to him, as a matter of fact that’s just the start of why I look up to Kim Namjoon. Firstly, Rap Mon is a witty and intelligent person. For example, there was a time when he had shown his wittiness and intelligence before. Before Rap Monster became a trainee in BigHit Entertainment, he had to convince his parents to let him become a trainee there. He had told his mother this, “When I was a student, I wrote lyrics …show more content…
For example, “So I bring the monster back, my monster swag, So this is the monster track, cause of my freakin monster rap...” (BTS “Cypher pt. 1”) Rap Monster and his group have a series of songs, Cypher pt. 1-4, released right now that show his amazing rapping skills. The rapper line and him had made to diss B-Free who dissed his band for wearing makeup and such things. In all of those songs, you can recognize his fantastic rapping skills. Another example, of where you can hear his extraordinary rapping skills is in his mixtape called “RM.” Lastly, I look up to his fashion sense. For last and not least, I look up to his hard work. That is something that I like about him. For example, he has been learning english since he was 7 years old. “RM study English since he was seven years old. He work hard in school too and his Mom bought him FRIENDS 10 seasons” “He watch it more than 30 times. Since he like rap, he used to read Interviews of Rappers which are in English.” (@daily_namjoon Twitter) Now that he’s in a kpop group he uses it to communicate with international fans. I find it amazing that he put in all that work to learn english since he was seven. In conclusion, those are the reasons to why Rap Monster is my role model. I respect him and admire him for his intelligence and wittiness, his mad rapping skills, and his hard work. Would you look up to Rap Monster as your role model now that you have heard why I look up to

On September 7, 1996, Tupac Shakur was shot dead in a drive-by shooting as he was headed to a suite Suge Knight, a member of Death Row Records, rented for the night after the Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon boxing match. The fight was held at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Knight had spotted a crips gang member. As the black BMW Shakur and Knight were riding in halted at a red light, an unknown white Cadillac pulled up to the right of them. One of the four men in the Cadillac fired at the passenger's seat, where Shakur had been sitting. Shakur was hit four times, twice in the chest, one in the arm and once in the thigh. He was rushed to a Nevada hospital, where he was in a coma for six days before finally passing away on September 13, 1996. To this day, the assassination is still officially unsolved. The assassination of Tupac Amaru Shakur was unjust because he was an influential rapper, fighting through rough times as a man on the streets; however, many people believe he was a criminal involving himself in violence and drugs (France 1).…

Not only did he come from a biracial couple, but one of his parents being Catholic and the other being Jewish. But also, I think this is why a lot of people are drawn to them. He’s an extremely marketable person. He can relate to a lot of people. He’s so diverse in this sense and in his music. He is often celebrated for his “sensitive and introspective approach to rap and R&B” (Drake). He has changed the way lots of artists approach their music. Instead of having lots music that is just meant for parties like most artists, he tells stories from his childhood and frequently refers to his hometown, “the 6” or Toronto. In one of his songs, “You & The 6”, he talks to his mom about his personal life and their relationship with their father. He has changed music forever and in my opinion will go down as one of the greatest artists of all-time.…

Being a role model is the most powerful form of education; we, the young developing adults, would be lost without it. A role model is a person that someone looks up to and wants to be like, either in the present or in the future. It can be anyone; a parent, family member, friend, or even someone off of a movie or book. The tremendous role models that I continue to learn from are my amazing mom, enlightened Coach Bird, and brilliant minded Sherlock Holmes.…

Rapping, also referred to as MCing or emceeing, is a vocal style in which the artist speaks lyrically, in rhyme and verse, generally to an instrumental or synthesized beat. Beats, almost always in 4/4 time signature, can be created by looping portions of other songs, usually by a DJ, or sampled from portions of other songs by a producer. Modern beats incorporate synthesizers, drum machines, and live bands. Rappers may write, memorize, or improvise their lyrics and perform their works a cappella or to a beat.…
